Hmm, the older eclipse/talons were good, the new ones are crap, V6 normally aspirated. The older eclipses are pretty much the same class as the WRX, but the WRX is more reliable and the new ones are sedans. If you're gonna go Mitsubishi, you go w/the EVO! Mmmm EVO.
 
almost all of you guys like the big american v8's, which is cool, i like them too but i rather go vw or bmw. you guys cant compare a big v8 to a 4banger or a v6 (vr6), imports and americans are 2 completely different classes of cars. My opinion, i think imports are better looking than mustangs or camaro's. i love to work on cars and love the fact that to a vr6 for example, you can do so much different stuff to it to make it go quick(not that it doesnt already), add a twin turbo to it and you're flying. anyways, everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone has different tastes. And so what if everyone has a golf or a civic, i dont see that as a big deal, if you like the car you buy regardless if everyone has it or not. i just have to stick up for my import scene which is huge here in toronto.

Portu, I understand exactly what you're saying. You can do a fair amount of mods to american cars too, but yes, the import scene has a lot more mods available to it. So you like the WRX eh? Good taste! You know about the STi version? That car rocks, takes on the new M3, 911 and many of the top sports cars out there. I'm gonna try to find this video of the WRX STi on Lancer EVO VII, two of my fave cars, I've got it on my HD, but sorta tough to send it out as it's ~14MB.

i've heard very little about the sti but by what you are saying it sounds amazing. takes on the new m3 and 911??? crazy!!!! i love the new m3's solid ride!!! the sti is only available in Japan, right? Lancer EVO ive heard about too, that's a nice machine. Have you heard about the Nissan Skyline GTR ??? i love that car, all wheel drive, i think it has something like 400HP !!! it's a beautiful car!! amazing car!!!
 
The STi is only available in Japan right now, but there is a lot of talk at Subaru about bringing the STi to North America because of the success of the WRX here. Mitsubishi is also thinking of bringing the EVO VII over too. The Skyline, stock to stock, is in a similar class as the WRX STi and EVO VII. All 3 cars are AWD w/about 280HP. The difference b/w the EVO/WRX and the Skyline, is that the Skyline is running on a Turbo V6, the other two run on 2.0L V4 Turbos. The Skyline is Japan's Ferrari, on the stock block you can get the Skyline upto 600+HP, with some mods the car can easily reach over 1000HP, it's a pure power house. However, the latest model apparently is losing it's V6 Turbo and moving into the V8 Normally Aspirated range (I think), and a lot of Skyline enthusiasts are dissappointed with that. Too bad Nissan has no thoughts on bringing the Skyline over, it'd be a sweet machine to see on the roads of North America. You can get one imported, but it'll cost a lot of money to have it street legalized.

Ya man, I've been into the Subaru for a while now and gradually got into the EVO as it was almost an identical car previously (design, and performance). The Skyline was something I just liked a lot too since it was similar in some aspects to the other cars. I'm not saying I'm an expert about the internal working of the cars, but I know how they perform and what you can do w/em. I found the video I mentioned earlier of the EVO VII vs. the WRX STi VII. i'll agree with you there the skyline is a crazy car, there are alot of cars in europe and asia that we don't have here which sucks like the audi 3 series A3-S3 base hp is 180 then goes up to almost 250 with out modefiying the computer that you can do to all audi's, increase is about 30-50HP depending on the model and that's just reporgraming the computer! All that power in a car that's basically the 4 series in a hatchback. I want to see the full line of mitsubishi that will be in canada 2003. and rumor has it pugeot and opel are thinking of making there way to north america (but that's just RUMOR).
 
Yeah, the A3/S3 is a sweet little rocket. That's partially why I'm thinking of moving to Europe after grad'ing, I wanna goto the UK, and get myself a WRX STi, EVO, and a Skyline. 😀 D'ya check out the video I posted below? You'll see why I love the EVO and WRX! If Peugot comes here, that'd be sweet, I love the 206, and the 406, sweet sweet cars, I'd get myself a 206 and mod it to be like the WRC car.
