Toronto is almost as bad as NYC but yeah NYC is crazy...the best place to be is where you don't gotta commute at all 🙂
 
The best commutes are Telecommutes lol :lol. And till this day I wish I had a job such as this.
 
I dred going to work everday cuz of the commute...I also dred coming home cuz of the comute...and yeah the gas prices ain't helping one bit...between car payments, insurance payments, maintenance (driving a lot requires more maintenance) and of course gas I think I'm just working to support the car
 
althouhg if some one could invent a gadget. i was thinking. something

3 to 5 pounds. that can deploy from your hip. and it can be lets say 3 feet by 5 feet. can fold back up.

and it can be between you in the commuter. like a screen. i commuted for a year.

and thought of a screen light enuff to fit in your pocket. but big enough so no one can bother you.

problem is theres no material light enough that could be sound proof.

i use to on rainy days when i was commuting. if there was enough room just flat out open my umbrella. so no one could peek or look over or people watch llloll.

or try to talk to me in the subway.
 
When I used to Live in Las Vegas, I used to commute 1 1/2 hours one way every day (97miles) to go to work in StGeorge Utah... That had to be the worst commute ever... But now I live only about 1.3 or 1.4 miles from my job... so it doesnt really take me that long anymore... 🙂
 
I'm about 15 miles from my job and holy fuqin shiat!!!! This morning, for whatever reason, something told me to leave early and thankfully I did. Took me and hour and 20 minutes! WTF? Traffic was just insane....there was a backup going into the Holland from Jersey, so that backed up, then a lil bit passed there, an accident occured no where near the road I was on, but it delayed traffic going into the Lincoln tunnel, so again backlog. And this is driving. Taking the bus is no picnic either. I tried not to let it get to me by blasting my CD's but after awhile, its frustrating as all hell. And when I was going to school in the city...forget it....talk about :bangbang Jersey's transit system isn't all that great either. Grrr....already aggrevated about tomorrow's commute. But yeah...it sucks. Traffic, gas prices, mass trans....no matter what, it sucks. But hey, gotta make money. :rolleyes
 
I hate commuting also. I stayed working in Downtown Manhattan so that I didn't have to deal w/the subway but the PATH is the same now. To many rude people. By the time I get in to work I'm stressed unless I curse someone out on my way in 🙂 (cuz they ask for it)
 
how come

we cant make. i think about this over and over again.

how come we cant make seperate cabins to ride in ?? so in the bus or the subway. there be a 2 foot by 2 foot. or 3 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot cabin.

and you ride in there. how come all the subways have to be open space?


i was thinking. of driving a dollar van for those wetbacks. except mine would be cell phone free.

and if i could one would be with mini cabins.

and charge more?

but something has to be done. the people watching the cell phones. the conversations lack of privacy.

And now with gas prices.

theres gonna be more New poeple than ever before taking it.

so theres gonna be growing pains. big time !!!

we need at this point where nobody cares about nobody in the times we live in.

Yup, again it sucked this morning. The drivers and train dispatchers just loveeeeeeeeee making the trains go slow as hell. And then my ass ends up dozing off, wishing for the ride to be over already. They are always behind schedule in NYC. It never fails.

why does everybody try to strike up a freeking convo on the train. why is it that people feel you wanna talk to them. and why cant people just accept the fact.

that they gotta go to work and work. and stop pawning off other people emotionally.

meaning just go to ffff****en work. and stop trying to talk to other people.

and distract Them from there working day.

holly crap !!!!! i cant tell you how many people now as an adult 35. I have had to litterally tell to shet the F up.

it truely hurts the things i have to say to the general public these days.

but its that peoples these days have no controll over there. nervous system. or themselves.

so ive had on the subway. tell people to litterally shet up. or to talk lower on the cell.

or to stop stareing at me.

the general public needs a one year training course. on ediquete at this point.

1 year traning

and designted area for cell phones. designated areas for smokeing. designated area for talking.

designated areas for children on the train.

and designated area for noise period.

i want a quiet ride !!!!!

People are just dumb like that...they stare and for whatever reason I do not know, so I give them this attitude look back and then I roll my eyes a little bit and focus on something else, just to let them know indirectly that I don't have time for them to stare at me like as if I'm some alien looking creature or something lol. Its soooo not polite to stare. I don't even do it to other people, but when its done to me, I turn in to the wicked bitch lol.

Like those friggin Jehovah's Witnesses...for the life of me, I don't know what is their reasoning for standing around in the subway? Wouldn't that fall under loitering and solicitation? It's like it doesn't dawn on them that people are in the subway because they are TRYING TO CATCH A TRAIN! And going back to what you said on etiquette, LET THE PEOPLE GET OFF THE F**KING TRAIN FIRST!! This may come off as racist, but it's true...the asians have NO CLASS WHATSOEVER when it comes to letting people off, and then they wonder why I slam into them when I get off the train...also peeps, if you must stand by the door, MOVE THE F**K ASIDE!!

Hey.. Have you ever ridden a subway train in Tokyo.. THOSE THINGS GET PRETTY PACKED!!!!! They would be the last people I would think of who would have issues with being rude on trains....
