Yo, I been stressin' out here in Florida, being that out here I have never been able to find one of my fav snacks - Drake's "Pick-Em-Up's".
They are the best flaky-puff square pastries with cream & fruit filling. (Similar to the Latin treat "Pastelillos De Guayaba").
They don't sell em out here in Florida, seems only up north in MA, NY, NJ, CT, etc, so I been tellin' my friends & fam about it who live up north, & jus yesterday my homegurl was like, "If I see them when I do compra (groceries), I will let you know". I told her I will buy at least $100 worrth, my fav is Blueberry, Raspberry, & Strawberry.
Well, I get a wierd package today, & i'm like: "Huh? I diddn't order anything".
I open it, & my homegurl sent me a bunch of boxes by surprise, & had them sent over night! (That crazy b*tch! - lol, I almost fainted!) They only had Strawberry, but I wasn't complaining! 🙂
I jus' couldn't beleive it yo! So I called her, & she was jus' glad I got them. (Bendito, that was soo nice. 🙂)
Then my bro, my cuz, & my uncle thought they waz gonna be slick & have some - (they musta f*ckin' thought! - LMAO!) I didn't share (que afrentao!) / (greedy a$$!) Shoot I used to get hit for hiding the boxes in my room from my mom & siblings. Now it was MY TURN!
I can still hear Mami sayin' : "A TI no se' te' enseno a ser ningun AFRENTAO!"
("YOU were NEVER taught to be so damn GREEDY!") - lol.
