Man, does anyone know this track? It sounds Freestylish if it isn't considered Freestyle. I was ransacking through my old school tapes and found one of the Freestyle songs I have been looking for in years. The song goes like this:

People always talkin' about reputations
I don't care about your other girls
Just be good to me
ooooohhhhh ooohhhhh

Some girl sings it.

It was very popular back in the day and few songs have sampled from it in their original songs or mixes. Plz help. latz.

Yes, you're right! I thought it was from them. It sounded familiar to "Take Your Time (Do it Right)." Do you consider this song from them sort of like a Freestyle joint or do you think it contains some Freestyle elements? It was released in 1983, a time where Electro Funk and Electro Pop were most famous.

Wanna know the truth??.......It's all majority rule. The public that have heard this song back in the 80's never seemed to have praised it as a freestyle track (even though it does have elements that are indeed freestyle) so that would make it as NOT a freestyle song. There's your answer. 🙂

It's funny how they claim "The Mexican" by Jellybean as a freestyle song when it sounds more 80's pop than anything.
