This message goes out to all who are or will be in the path of Hurricane Ivan.
Krystal...this includes you since Ivan has decided to jog more and more to the west and closer to your area. Good luck and best wishes to you all during this brutal storm. May God watch over you and your families and see you all through this storm safely.

Thank you for your concern and of course I'll keep you posted on what's happening.

Right now the Mayor is asking for those who can leave...to do it. I'll wait for my dad to get home and see what he says. If he says go then I'm gone! 😀

As it stands at the moment...we are on the westerly side of the storm which would give us the northerly push with the water and about 75-100 mph winds. If he goes more to the west though then it'll be worse. We'll see what happens.

We're all good here. Latest track has it goin to Mobile, AL and that puts us on the weakest side of the storm. 🙂 We'll be fine...some wind and rain but that's about it.

As for the 3 things I'd take with me...my cd's, my pictures and my dog! 😀
 
Nope...not the puter.

I'd just put that bish up on top my closet thingie in my room since that would put it up about 20 feet from the ground. My house is up off the ground like 2 feet so add that and the 8 foot ceilings and I'd be all good! 😀
 
4pm here and still just wind and very little rain. The tides are rising though and some parts along the lakefront area are flooded...mostly the street area. The houses around there are on the other side of the levee.

The storm is supposed to hit some time durin the night so I'm thinkin tomorrow will be the bad day even though we're just gonna get the weak side of the storm.

I saw on French TV this morning the disaster in Jamaica and in some areas in USA.

Hope everything will be fine for those who live in Florida too. The next stop for Yvan... 🙁
 
🙁 hey guys if you want to see pictures go into sun-sentinel.com ( it shows the pan handles, cuba, grenda, jamaica, a lot of places got destroyed) so sad. hope krystal is ok.

We made it through Ivan just fine. He turned more to the east and left us on the weak side of the storm so all we had here was wind and a slight bit of rain. We lost power about 5am and just got it back about an hour ago. Not complainin cuz it could have taken days.

We had nothing like what the people in Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida panhandle had to deal with. My prayers go out to all that were affected with this storm.
