How to raise a child?

How exactly would you say is a way to raise a child my boyfriend and I always seem to have this discussion only because he has a one track mind (I've always thought). He says that being a male and having a daughter:girl is going to be diffucult for him, even though hes so much in love with her (what he thinks it's going to be easier on me:angered ). Why does he feel like this you may ask. well let me tell you what he says :losmile . Females are sensitive (which is very true) and need more attention than boys,(do they really?) or else they will not grow up right meaning that they will look for love in all the wrong places.(other men thier age when they are teenagers/young adults) he says that you can not scold them as much :bangbang and you should not hit them. So he says that when I scream at her to repremand her he will get mad at me Aint that something. So when it comes to Daddy he will not do any of those. OH BOY!! So I tell him that she will love daddy because she can take advantage of daddy and she will also love mommy but knowing that I am not going to take anything that she should not be getting away with.
SO I wonder if his mind will change when she is actually here and older. We Will see I guess

uh uh uh don't let him do it. you guys have to come up with an agreement cause regardless you can't let your child walk all over you. and that will be the one who will put him in check cause all those things he thought she may or maynot do ha she'll prove otherwise. I got two daughter and two sons. yeah there is a difference cause the girls are daddy's little girls but when they mess up they get it just as bad as the boys.

Im glad too hear that and I agree with you 100% because my father when he was there he let me have it when ever I did something I wasn't suppose to do. At times I would go and ask my mother for something and when she would say no I would ask him and he would ask me what did mommy say and whatever she says stays so I never got over. I just hope that when she is here and I say no my no stays!!

thats how I am here. We both have to agree on something. and if we don't we take it to the room to discuss behind the scenes cause it's not cool to let the kids see you argue about who's right or wrong. But 99% of the time we respect what each other tells the kids.
