I think the reunion is an excellent idea. Show the love and get everyone together for a bash to end all bashes. Show the world what the music is about, what the passion is about. If we all get together and show the love for what means so much to most of us. I remember following my sister around like a puppy because all she played was Freestyle, I grew up with it and respect and adore the artists, producers, engineers etc...behind the music. It brings back so many good memories for me and I can't wait for the day it is back completly. To bring back the carefree feelings as when I was a kid. Those were the days.

It is a shame that people bash and hate and spread gossip and rumors causing top producers to not come back (artists as well). I am a strong believer in doing what you love, what you are passionate about, which is why i won't give up on Freestyle and music in general.

I agree MKG, U.N.I.T.Y. is the key here and this website was made for that reason. For fan, artists, producers, etc, to get together and share the love of the music. There will always be bashing and haters though, no matter what the topic-I have seen that way too much-and it is a shame-maybe they don't understand what it is all about so they hate on it.

Micki,

You are 100% right and wish you were a little older when the music we call freestyle was really big.. it was all over Hot 97 in New York, All the sister stations around the united states. I went to California, Texas,LA, Boston and so many other states and you would not believe the reponse.. The fans were yelling like if it was a Marc Anthony Concert.. I had to bring up the PA system so the singers could hear themselves.. NOW that is LOVE.. If someone is trying to sing but needs help, by all means help then.. recommend a vocal coach.. Even the best singers in the world get vocal coaching.. Micki, you have the right idea and i see you are a true fan.. Thanks for your kind post.. those haters should learn from you. But then again, it's probably haters that were rejected and they want to take it out on CF..

I do remember that, i was a bit young, but I still remember Hot 97 as Freestyle and I was upset when they changed. I remember Hot 103, I think that was before Hot 97? I wasn't old enough to go to clubs, but my brother in law was and still is a huge freestlye fan and he still owns all the vinyls. We often talk about the music for hours on end. I wish i was old enough to see the shows back then, I would have loved it. I haven't been to a show in a long time. Freestlye is such a huge part of me. I remember "One more shot" on the radio and my mom would tell me to get to sleep because it was a school night. Those were the days. I agree, everyone needs a vocal coach, even i went to one for some time, coaching is a good thing-it doesn't mean you can't sing, it is just practice (or so i made myself believe). I am sure you are right on the haters, but what can you do,they won't go away no matter what genre of music it is about. Haters, I try to ignore, though they do get on my nerves.

My post was from the heart, what I believe in. You are welcome :cheer

Micki,

It's great that you can keep freestyle alive and by you being a fan of the music it's nice that you can keep an open mind and keep it real. We all need a little something to keep us moving forward. We weren't born without a little flaw in us. Its nice you can walk with your head up and know what you said came from your heart

Freestyle was a huge part of my childhood, it will always be alive within me. I will be 90 years old still playing my freestlye cd's lol. It is nice to walk with my head up and proud of the fact I love freestlye music. I am very passionate about music and when discussing it what i say is always from the heart. 🙂

It will always be there... no shame with being 90 and playing freestyle..being married to MKG for 11 years well I simply listen to it all the time and still blast it while cleaning the house and now wait for some new and exciting productions.

Best Wishes:sflower
