well go listen to some of the stevie b songs and whoever else is from florida who came out doing freestyle and listen to some of the singers from nyc u will see the big difference there

Haven't heard any Canadian Freestyle... Is it liek eurofreestyle? If so can someone name some canadian/eurofreestyle groups?

Euro freestyle to me is-ceres, sweet tb, orion too, anthony norris, freesystem
and well tran name the canadian freestyle but he failed to mention canada's queen of freestyle ALEXIA PHILLIPS 🙂 (my opinion of course) if you want more info on canadian and even euro freestyle check out the respective forums

Texas, Canada, NY City Freestyle Music? What is that?
Funny...because all those states, or city mixed different genres of Freestyle.

Type of Freestyle music came to my mind:
*Electro Funk (or also called Electro Hip-Hop): Afrika Bambaataa stuffs for instance.
*Latin Hip-Hop
*Progressive Freestyle
*West Coast Sound
*New School
*Old School
*Miami Sound
*Electro Freestyle (mostly from Germany): Flying Steps, Music Instructor.
 
Yeah but TExas, NYC and Toronto/Canada freestyle...may share certain types of freestyle but to me they all sound different and unique from each other

As for instance the Progressive Freestyle's genre, it sounds the same whatever the state (Texas, California, Miami or NY City).

As far concerns Canada/Toronto & Germany, it sounds the same, they used most of the time Planet Rock beats.

Just my opinion... 😉

To me and most its a mixture of breabeat and bass,but here are all the Freestyle categories which all =FREESTYLE

1.The original LATIN HIP HOP(original name of FREESTYLE,OLD SCHOOL,example "LISA LISA" or "SHANNON" or "DEBBIE DEB" or "SAFIRE"ETC...also ELECTRO FUNK(ALSO known as BREAKDANCING MUSIC like "AFRIKKA BAMBATTA ETC.....)

2.LATIN FREESTLE(Which have latin beats or some spanish added in Freestyle original sound,example-"SWEET SENSATION" or "PAJAMA PARTY" or "NAYOBE")

3.NEW SCHOOL(newer beats added to original sound of FREESTYLE example,"LISETTE MELENDEZ" or "CORINA" or "ROCKELL",also MIAMI SOUND which added more bass like "STEVIE B" or "WILL TO POWER" or LINEAR")

4.PROGRESSIVE FREESTYLE(has faster beats added with original FREESTYLE sound,This sound takes FREESTYLE to newer levels of trying to keep Freestyle dated,like "ANGELINA","CHRISTINA MARIE", or "MARCOS B,also PRogreesive is addind more electro beats like W.I.T. or mixes like example,CARLOS BERRIOS mixes of GEORGE LAMOND's "LATELY",SAFIRE's "EYES OF A STRANGER" or JACQUI CENCI "MEMORIES")

5.EURO FREESTYLE(Adds the original freestyle sound with a little HINRG(LIKE old school hinrg LABOUCH or 2 UNLIMITed)examples music coming out of CANADA,GERMANY,OR EUROPE-JOEE,ZOE,ALEXIA PHILLIPS,also mixes by atilla or tony monaco,remember LIL'SUZY's "WHEN I FALL IN LOVE"?)

other mixes whichare considered FREESTYLE when put onsingle mixes are the mixes of RAVE,BREAKBEAT,BASS,ELECTRO,PLANET HYPE,KAMIKAZE,SOME POP MUSIC,ETC..when listening to a maxi-single you can always tell what mixes were made for the FREESTYLE audience.
WEll this all =FREESTYLE,the music that still lives today.
