Scared Straight dont do nothing I still dropped out... But.. If I saw some college campus's and what some kids were driving while they were in dorms or what they owned after a good education and were lawyers and stuff..... I would've stayed. By the time I found out how kewl college was it was too late for me to fix my mistakes to go. Hell if I only straightened out and stayed on the teams I could've gone on scholarships. Introduce him to a smart girl with money and then let him know he can never have her unless he stays in school..... LOL. Serioulsy does he like sports? Music? Technology? any of those things that he would need to be in school cause they have the equipment to go and learn on???? Computer science he could with a degree only go to work for Rockstar Games and earn good money...... Im just saying telling them its wrong will just make them want to prove you wrong.. that thier different.. Fla. has some great campuses and if you talke to a Dean they wuold be more than will to show you around to be a positive influence on a Kid..... I love the hurricanes 😉

Naya Have You Asked What He Is Gonna Do If He Did Stop Going To School? Give Him A Reality Check!!! Tell Him That If He Is Not Gonna Go To School Then He Needs To Get A 40 Hour A Week Job And Start Helping You Pay The Bills, Rent Etc!!

Remember.... "your House", So That Means He Needs To Live By Your Rules, No Matter How Old He Is!!

well on our way to his part time job, (that he only works twice a week for 4 hours minimum wage) I told him to ask the manager if he got more shirts for him to wear, so he asked me why, and I said well since you intend to drop out they might as well keep you working at the supermarket, cause I ain't helping you out anymore, now you got responsibilities to own up too. you gotta help pay the rent and the bills, cause you the man of the house now. I told him to give me his money from yesterdays paycheck and said it was going to his share of the bills (which he wasn't too happy about) ( I put the money into his bank account though, that he doesn't know I have for him) SO we shall see what he decides after this.

I cant give you advice Naya, but I'll tell you why us kids hate school. I'm assuming you're talking about your older son (who's my age) my b-day to be exact lol . . school SUCKS !! Parents do NOT know or understand how school is today because it is SO MUCH more difficult than 10,20 years ago. I dont care what anyone says. Between 7-9 classes, BULLSHIT homework, Regents, teachers and waking up at the crack of dawn (My 1st class starts at 7am) it's soo F*u*CK*ing stressful on us kids. We dont want to go, we'd rather cut and relax during the day because the stress of school KILLS us. F*U*C*K SCHOOL !!!!!!A
 
Hmmmm Well I Know I Didn't Have It Easy In School!! It's All Up To The Individual!! I Had My 6 Classes In High School That Was Starting 10th Grade Then I Wanted To Go To Beauty School So I Had To Attend Summer School To Get All My Credits In, In Order To Be Able To Drop Some Classes To Go. I Would Go To School For 3 Or 4 Classes Then I Would Go To Beauty School From 1-5 Then 5:30-8:30 I Would Go To Work!! And That Is How I Had It For A Whole Year Till I Graduated From Beauty School. Then I Got A Job At A Hair Salon....i Was Working There Before I Graduated From High School.. So I Am Gonna Say That I Didn't Have It Easy In High School. I Had To Bust My Ass For What I Wanted To Do 😉

the thing is as a kid you dont see the payoff it means more career choices a better mind and more money down the line
 
ok so he wants to act like he know it all? simple mama. you bought his clothes right? take them. you bought the bed he sleeps on right? he can't sleep on it. take every thing you bought him. everything his family bought him. he hasn't worked am I right? he don't help you pay the bills right? ok so after you do this take him to the street where he thinks is so cool and leave him there. give him enough money to call you when he gets his head out his ass. and make sure he don't go calling no one else. Give everyone the heads up so they go sorry can't help ya. he'll call you crying to take him back and he will definitly at least try to like school. and if not military school see if he likes that. and by the way tell him I said I'm gonna kick his butt for even thinking of quitting school. hmph!!!
 
lol, he was at the break off dawn today doing some homework and he has to go to nightschool for 9 weeks in order for him to catch up with his studies and to graduate..I haven't been goofing around with him as usual, and neither has the little one, so I guess he's feeling it now. I feel bad, but I can't budge. He has to know that the street ain't gonna do shit for him.
