How and where did it all start? Who's fault was it? LOL Who got u into freestyle? My cousin got me into it just a few years ago, by listening some of his tapes in the car, and from then on, I'm in love with freestyle. So it's basically all his fault! LOL! :nah
 
I don't even remember if it was someone's fault or not. I just remember going clubbing and hearing the music... the music captivated my mind, body and soul!!! 🙂

Every song I heard, I could relate to..some way or another!!!

my sister. We were in her car and she was listeninf to "first true love". It started from there!!!!
 
First heard Lil Suzy " Take me in your Arm" but really I didn't get into Freestyle until 1995. I was at a friend's house and I looking through his CDs collection and started to listen to it. Both him and his brother are freestyle listener too.
 
I was born into freestyle in the 80's in NYC thats all i heard.....
 
I Was About 8 Years Old And The Radio Was On While I Was Helping My Mom Clean The House When A Song Came On I Was Hooked From That Day On.
 
i think i was in second grade..living in pr n my cousin dat had move down from brooklyn brought down his cd's n i remember him jamming to fantasy girl by johnny o after that i fell in love with the music till this day...
 
I was in 3rd grade when my sister played the song..."did you ever love a girl that don't, did you ever cry to see what good it would do, did you ever try to say a little prayer..." I felt in love with it since 😀

Thats right LaBetty....we lived it at the height of its popularity and it is a part of all our experiences,good and bad, growing up.
 
The radio stations in the bay area always payed it and the videos were played on california music channel,eveybody both white or latin,asian,etc..all knew who the artists were.My first cassette was THE COVER GIRLS,CYNTHIA,and LISA LISA.Than soon loved everyting that I heard that had that sound-DAIZE,LIL'SUZY,LISETTE MELENDEZ,STEVIE B ,ETC..
 
It all started 2 or 3 yrs ago. My brother's friends were bboys and they would always blast Stevie B, Collage, Johnny O, and TKA. I would start singing along to the songs... and bam wham! I was hooked! The month before I went to Greece I purchased my first Freestyle Cd - Rockell what are you lookin at?- Then when a couple months into school I began listenin to the oldschool and was entranced by the artists. So now all I listen to is practically oldschool. Eventhough, I love all Freestyle I've been hooked on oldschool. And oh yeah, I gotta give it up to that one person who showed me more of the Freestyle world jus this summer... but I ain't gunna say his name. ((YOSHI!!!)) 😉 Welp, thatz how it all started.
 
I had first been exposed to the "electro" sound when I was a kid in Brookyln in the early 80's.My next door neighbors ,whom we were very close to , had a son who loved spinning those early jamz. :dj He gave my older brother and I cassettes of his mixes.By the time I was in my first year of high school in 86 Freestyle was all over my neighborhood..then I heard Company B's "Fascinated" and have never let go since. :listen
