Click the link to my MySpace page- and go to the second song in the music player. I pulled this from my private WQHT collection. It's a commercial for the grand opening of a club called "Studio 55" (from the same people who brought you Studio 54 no less). Check out the live performance line up. I figured you guys might get a kick out of hearing that. It is from December 20th, 1988.

Enjoy! I'm in the process of converting all of my old 'QHT tapes to CD. So I'll try to post stuff like this once in a while.

Love seeing how big all the old forgotten freestyle acts where back in the days. THanks for sharing James!

The only thing I find interesting about this radio spot is the usage of the term "Latin Freestyle". If this is from 1988, then this serves as evidence against those who claim that our music wasn't called "Freestyle" until the early 90s, myself included.

This kind of stuff gives me the chills.. How can I download that clip? I collect that stuff...

THIS is what I use to capture "streaming" audio. I assume you're probably using a Windows-based PC, so you'll need to find an equivalent application for that platform.

I liked it!!!!!

I dont think song #2 is the same as it was when this thread was posted,BUT I LIKE ALL THE TRACKS ON THAT RADIO!!!!!!

cool stuff to bad I was to young back in those days to hear any of that stuff, lol. I am only 21 now.
