Hey,

I was reading this article on CNN & it states how cases of HIV has grown in the gay male community.

I personally disagree with this article simply because it says:

"CDC officials cautioned, however, that the jump in HIV diagnoses could have been caused by more gay and bisexual males being tested for the virus and was not proof that this group was being infected at a faster rate.

The data also did not include New York, California and other states with large HIV-infected populations."

ok so they don't know if they tested an equal amount of gay & straight males & they didn't include the village & San Fran?!?!?!

I am sorry but having a lot of gay male friends & knowing that they are always protected during intercourse, I personally feel that articles like this lead to homophobia.

yeah, I have read the opposite in other places. HIV cases in gay & bi males has actually been going down.
People I guess are being smarter these days.

Alot of the people I know that have this horrible virus are actually straight.

I wish they could stop with HIV and gays and this and that...just freaking focus on finding a cure and spreading the word "Protection" especially amongst high schools and teenagers. :rolleyes

I'm surprised. I always thought that gay men was the highest at protected sex and HIV testing. But Straight males are the leaders of infection. There are still straight guys who still think AIDS is mostly gay. Which is stupid. Women are actually the leaders in HIV infection.
 
Okay. This is a very touchy subject here. I overheard the same thing on the news, and I read an article in the paper today.

In 2003, there are a lot of dudes who use chat rooms and "hook-up" websites to meet other guys for random sex. Now, many of these guys use PNP as a topic for their profile, or use it in chat rooms. What PNP means, is "Party N Play". What this means, is that there is a huge population of gay and bisexual men who like to use hardcore drugs with a partner, then have hardcore sex.

Krystal Meth, G, Poppers, Liquid K, Tina, etc. are all names to describe the drugs. Party N Play is now becoming a risky thing.

When these dudes are tweeked on these drugs, they just want to have sex and last for long periods of time, and with these types of drugs they enjoy it more. The majority of them like to go "bareback" as well, and thats where the problem is. Unprotected anal sex is an invitation for infection. Scary shit. Oral definitely is as well, but the possibilites aren't as high as anal.

Also, there is this new "trend" now, where you have dudes that are looking to get the HIV. They are called "bug chasers" and look for infected guys to plant "their seed" inside them. Yo, I'm telling you guys, this is some scary, phucked up shit.

Trust no one. Treat everyone as if they are infected because in today's day and age, you just have to.

You're better off being in a monogamous relationship where you can enjoy sex the way it was meant to be.

But, I do think that HIV among gay men is on the rise ONCE again.

No, HIV/AIDS was NOT started by Gay men. HIV/AIDS isn't a "gay man's" disease. Look at the statistics.

Everyone assumed it was because it was first seen among Gay men. And it was easier to point the blame on someone. Such bullshit.

No one really know's where HIV originated from.

For all we know, it could've been started in a lab somewhere. Just think, it's a great way to lower the population. Excellent way to make money. Don't you think?
