Ok, here is my play by play, just like last week. :lol

Onstage battling it out...........

The Knack-"My Sharona"

Tommy Tutone-"867-5309/Jenny"

Vanilla Ice-"Ice Ice Baby"

The Motels-"Only The Lonely"

Haddaway-"What is Love"

First up, is The Knack, doing "My Sharona"

Well, they look pretty good, they stayed in shape....and they don't sound too bad. Music sounds very very close to the original, and the voices are pretty good.

Well "The Knack" just performed "My Sharona" and it was more like "My Old Age A-Homa". They were old, off key, and a mess. YIKES!

Next up.....Haddaway doing "What Is Love"

He is still in shape, looks good, and sounds good. the crowd is going nuts for him. His voice is still strong, and he has good stage pressence.

No clunkers yet.

Well I have to disagree. Being a professional singer, I just don't think these acts sound that good live. The Knack sounded off key and Haddaway's voice was not nearly as strong as it sounded on the record, and he had ZERO stage presence - he basically just stood there, wiggled a couple of times and tried to look Tom Jones-esque. I am a HUGE fan of The Motels so I will be devastated if Martha Davis sounds like two cats going at it on a back fence.

Wow! Didn't think they were that bad. lmao

Onstage now, Tommy Tutone......867-5309

hmmmmmmm he does NOT look good. lmao Now, I think HE sounds off key. lmao. Maybe it's just his voice.

Ok, welcome to the Daimian and ChuckD show....like Siskel & Ebert
I think I am coming off as "Simon Cowell-esque" lol - but I have to say what I think..

Now Tommy Tu Tone did his thing - the only thing I can say about is 867-5309 is - DISCONNECTED!!!

Next up, the Motels.....doing "Only The Lonely"

Well, Martha sounds great. I don't know if the rest of the people onstage with her are the "real" Motels, but regardless, she sounds the best so far.

YOu can be Simon, and I'll be Paula! :losmile

I have to say, Martha took it!!!!

Okay...now my faves Martha Davis and The Motels are up....I think she looks GREAT for a woman in her mid 50's - although she does look a lot like Anne Rice...she was pretty good until she just hit a sour last note that confirmed my previous prediction of "two cats going at it on a back fence"...I am climbing into the oven as I type...

Oh come on Simon...Ooops, Damian! I thought she gave a great performance. Two cats is a bit extreme. I think so far, she's the one who sounded the most like back in the day.

Yes, she DID sound great until she hit that last note - did you tape it? PLAY IT BACK! She hit a note that could spay a cat!!!

Ok then.....

next up, Vanilla Ice, doing "Ice Ice, Baby"

Well, he came up looking like an Eminem clone...baggy blue jeans, and white t-shirt.

Now, this is gonna be hard.......how can you compare rapping to singing? Rapping is a different talent. You gotta have fast flow. He's doing great. However, you don't have to be "in key" or worry about hitting "sour notes" when rapping.

the crowd is screaming for him.

Next, they take the stage again, doing a new song, that they've "restyled".

Okay - VANILLA ICE IS RAPPING WITH THE DJ RAPPING ALONG WITH HIM???? Since when was "ice ice baby" a DUET?? TERRIBLE - they are now SCREAMING LIKE ANIMALS, not rapping...oh lord...yes, Martha Davis must be declared the winner of this fiasco. I think last week's performers were much MUCH better!!!!

Doing GREAT??? How can you say he did "great" when he screamed, not rapped, and had someone rapping along with him? It was a mess. I am sure Destiny's Child is saying a few Novenas right now after learning he will be butchering "Survivor" next...

Daym Damian.

he didn't act any different then any of the other rappers when they do their shows. I've seen rappers screaming and shouting out during their performances.

Since when does Vanilla have a "R" on the end of it? :lol

The host is killin the name! I have to say I liked Haddaway and The Motels the best. But ummmmm the audience was really into VanillaR Ice. And damn...you could tell he was surprised by their reaction!

Yes, but I have seen him perform "Ice Ice baby" before and it did not sound anything like what he just did - I hated it...
