Here's the take that I heard about some of the MICMAC remixes from the artists themselves...The strange sounding remixes were created after the artists parted ways with the record company. They were finally freed, but the original music was owned by MICMAC. So before an artist like Cynthia made noise under Timber/Tommy Boy, the remixes were released to capitalize on her name, with Cyndi receiving nothing in return. Tonasia has told me the same tales.

Johnny O can also tell you some cheesy tales of musical mayhem-when he left the label, they had some fun with his music...and his life!

The HOT 97 album is actually quite good...at the time, Al Banderas was a huge Freestyle supporter...
