Potty training @ 18 months is driving me insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He takes his clothes off and strips down anywhere and will pee on the floor and all. Im gonna have to duct tape his diaper on or something :mad anybody have any ideas?
 
Buy a fake toilet and if he does it at the kitchen floor or elsewhere, make sure the fake toilet is there for him to take the hint just incase. :cool

LOL @ fake toilet. I should just paper train him! JK, nah he won't tell me when he has to go, he just strips down while playing and go. LOL I can get him to go on it when I sit him there, but when hes off playing I ask him all day long and he says "huuuuuuuuh" (thats his reply to everything 🙁
 
Hey Mona-I'm going trough the same thing right now with my 19th month old daughter she takes off her diaper and says " pipi" so I take her to the bathroom in her potty and she just sits there and does not do anything :crap she has had her potty in the bathrooom for like 2 months and not once has she used it,,but she does have the idea that is where you go Pipi but she never does it in there, she just sits there!

I was told that she is still kinda young and not to force her to go, which I don't force her to go, I just tell her that where pipi goes.
 
monalisa, does he have his little pottie toilet? cause some of them come with the little stars that you put inside and pottie and he has to aim at it when he goes pee.lol it sounds funny, but you tell him the if he hits the target with the pee or the other he can win a prize. NYPRCAN told me that too yesterday about my little one, cause he's scared to do number 2 in the toilet.lol😉

Yes he has his potty and all ... and he even likes to stand at the toilet like his big brothers, but he will just stand there and pretend LOL, but if i take my eye off him for a minute, and I come back and see a puddle and his naked behind running around like he didnt even do anything. I never had this problem w/my 2 other sons. I hope it doesnt last long..thank goodness I dont have carpet.
 
mona~~ i also had trouble with my daughter especially at that age, but i used to get so fusturated, and i heard from a friend to take a doll or a fav teddy bear, and put it on the bowl and make believe he goes and make a big thing out of it, and i know it sounds corny, but it worked, my daughter was about 24 months when she finally was trained, but to this day and she is 3, she is still has a problem doing #2.

Naya isn't that fusturating,🙁 she did it once or twice but is scared to go i heard this is normal for them to go through.
 
well ladies, my son didn't get comfortable going till about last summer and he just turned 3. he's still not OK with sleeping without a diaper b/c he still wets the bed....but I had that trouble w/ my daughter. it took a while but she finally went. keep ya head up mama and like queensgurl said just try and find ways to make him see it's a good thing 😀

my younger brother had major major probs with that...use those diapper underwear things that way they think they are under wear and if there is an accident ur covered
 
yeah but there are actual underwear that are padded they are underwear but pull ups work basically the same they are just bigger
 
my problem is actually keeping his clothes on. If I got him pull ups he'd be running around naked all day. He has these lil boxers that I put on him over his diaper, hoping it would stop him, but nothing does, he strips down and its all over with. Every morning I wake up to a naked baby, even his footie pajamas, he unzips them and takes it off along w/his diaper. 🙁

OMG😱 I GUESS I SEE WHAT I WILL BE LOOKING FOWARD TO. MY DAUGHTER IS 10 MONTHS OLD. LET ME TELL U SOMETHING FUNNY. YOU THINK POTTY TRAINING IS A PROBLEM?? I HAVE A GODSON WHO IS 4 YEARS OLD. HE KNOWS HOW TO GO TO THE BATHROOM BY HIMSELF...THE THING IS...HE REFUSES TO USE THE TOILET IF HE'S NOT BUTT NAKED. HE HAS TO STRIP DOWN ALL THE WAY TO HIS TOES. EVEN IF HE HAS ONE SOCK ON, HE WON'T GO. LOL SO IMAGINE WHEN HE STARTS GOING TO SCHOOL FULL TIME.
