DJ TAZ BXUNY are you prepared to answer Willie Valentin's question about the legitimacy and legality of your CD?

I'm sure other producers on CF like Mickey Garcia, Tito Puente Jr., and Randy Taylor-Webber, and artists like Kayel, Ashley and Nyasia, would be intersted in your answer, considering they as artists and producers and label owners are entitled to royalty payments when someone uses their song or buys a recording with their song on it...
 
The fact of the matter is your right but i never said i was selling the cd! I was making it for friends and for giveaways! By the way you are being anal! But you have a point so maybee ill rethink the title! Thanks ! dj taz

Well even if you're giving it away (which i really doubt you will give them all away) you have to get permission from the labels. Freestyle is hurting because of all the mp3's being downloaded and people copying cds for there friends. Mix cds are cool, but you can't give away something you dont own. sales are bad enough without that. The mix cd sounds like a great way to promote the music but it has to be done correctly.

thanks for all the support guys! but to be perfectly honest i wasnt going to sell the cd i was gonna give it away at the wildpalm and sidestreet and give it to friends! And just for the record its guys like me that keep freestyle alive and well! With shows like we put on last week at prophets birthday bash featuring tka!!! So if some label gets mad or some artist gets mad then ill never use or play there music again who loses there not me! im dj taz and always will be!!! peace !!! dj taz & dj cruize
 
And to willie v. Yo dog i feel what your saying! Your 100% right but you know what, I never made money off anyone! Im not 1 of those djs thats sells mix tapes, thats why you never seen a dj taz tape anywhere! But i tell you one thing iv been doing the hottest parties in the bronx for the last 10 years, blackthorn,4th & goal,riddlers, sidetsreet and now wild palm on fridays and im 1 of the only djs that still rocks a fat freestyle set each night. NEW MUSIC

Put some new music on it. I'm sick of classics, everyone that makes a new cd now always has to put classics on it. so if you make a cd with classics on it, its just going to sound like all the other played out compilations. put new music, im sure theres new music comming out from Canada and other small lables, why not give them a chance to be heared. i'm pretty sure everyone has all the classics and and all the best tunes ever made, so they can probably make their own compilation with all the tunes being mentioned. so why not try something different and put some new young talent on.
