Who watched the Grammy's last night? I thought the performances were pretty good, but I wasn't too happy with all the outcomes. For Song of the Year, I really thought it should have gone to Bruce Springsteen for "The Rising" and instead it went to Norah Jones for "Come Away With Me." Now, is it just me, or has nobody else heard of Norah Jones till last night? Maybe I live under a rock or something, but I never heard of her. Oh well.

On the positive side, Eminem won rap album of the year. :yeey So good job to my future husband. LOL
 
Meg, I was there and let me tell you it sucked. It was so unorganized. The stage set up was phat; but that was about all. The performances sucked all together. The rap and r&b industry is a multi billion dollar industry. Why and the hell did they choose to give out only one Grammy on T.V.

Thank God for this years MTV Video Music Awards. I should have stayed home and watched the Knicks lose. Holllllllaaaaaaa😀
 
FO SHO I DIDN'T KNOW WHO THAT CHIC NORAH JONES WAS TILL AST NITE. I THINK THE LAST AWARD SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO YOUR BABY DADDY DREAMGIRL. I MUGHT ADD THE SHOW WAS BOOOOORRRIIINNNNN. BUT THEN I HAD THE ROCK MY BABY DADDY TO WATCH WHILE THE BORING GRAMMY'S WERE ON. LMAO
 
Im surprised none of you knew who Norah Jones was...lol Her album has sold millions of copies and has been in the Top 10 for months!!! I think her song "Dont Know Why" is so nice. It's a refreshing change from the typical pop sounds of Brittney Spears and Christina Aguilera. All of these new artists have true talent....Norah, John Mayer, Vanessa Carlton, Michelle Branch.

I thought N Sync did a really nice tribute to the Bee Gees....that had to have been my favorite part of the show. I couldnt help but cry when Barry and Robin Gibb accepted their award and Maurice's son said a little speech on his father's behalf.

Simon and Garfunkel were also great. And I liked Ashanti's performance as well.

I actually enjoyed this year's show more than the last couple of years.

I have do I agree, I did not like the Grammy's this year either, they were boring...I expected more from Eminem's performance, after his performance I was like " that's it " and that Chick Norah it was my first time hearing about her too...
 
Ashanti was looking hot last night. Loved the seethrough dress:drool

Bruce did a good job performing last night.

I'm glad Norah Jones won. That was the only song worth listening to on radio this year.😉
 
I have to agree with u MIke..."Dont Know Why" was 1 of the best songs on the radio this year. It's about time that a song with class won all the major awards!!!

By the way, I forgot to mention earlier that Faith Hill sang beautifully last night, as well.

I loved The Mo Gibb tribute myself. Norah Jones, Michelle Branch, Vanessa Calton, John Mayer and Ashanti are the only good artist on Radio now! But you must remember, The Grammys are kind of formal and old school. It's the most boring of the shows. They give out over 1000 awards. That's why the show rus for over 5 hours.LOL
 
I also never heard of Norah Jones. I didn't think that song was that good, but oh well, good for her. N'sync is the bomb!!!!!!!

Can somebody tell me what the F was up with Dustin Hoffman opening the show saying WELCOME 4 F***ing times!!!! And calling Bruce; Bruce Spring Street!! And Trying to sing No Doubts - Hey Baby!! Dustin Hoffman, you getting old and mindless, OK!!

I've actually heard of Norah Jones, I have seen her perform at other award shows, but I do't thik her song deserved 8 grammy's, but hey I guess they figured they'ed give them to someone new this year. alot of the people we would have wanted to win, probably didn't meet the deadline i which your song has to be out in order to qualify to be nominated.

Anyway, congratulations to all the winners deserving or not, it must be a great feeling!.lol

As for Reemixx, Girl your right about that, Freestyle will never be recognized as Grammy Potential, just like Native American Rap wasn't recognized until about a year or two ago, but even then, it wasn't shown on TV. DAnce music only gets awarded in The European World Music awards, or some shit like that. I love Dance music they should be awarded grammy's too!
