If it's something they can help you with...why would you wanna do a system restore and lose all your info on your puter? And you're gonna have to get them on the phone anyway to help you reinstall your modem stuff!
 
A recover disk will just wipe out the whole drive save as reformating your hard drive. Other recovery disks won't work with eachother.
IE: 98 will not work with XP.
 
Exactly Latino and she's still gonna have to call to have her cable modem drivers reinstalled cuz that's NOT gonna be on the recovery disk.
 
She should just try to do a soft reboot (resetting) which is turning both off or unplugging them for about 5 mins. then turning the comp on then the plugging the modem back in. She doesn't actually need the drivers unless they were deleted. And she doesn't know what happened to it.
 
Yeah Maci! Try that! Unplug the cable modem from the wall or power strip for like 2 minutes and see what happens then! 🙂
