Glimpse in to the Freestyle Universe

What’s going on my Freestyle people? It’s Swins Fontenelle of Freestyle Universe (Freestyle Universe Annex on facebook.com) again with a little drop on the latest on all that’s happening in the Freestyle scene. If you haven’t already heard; Freestyle Goes Manhattan-style this Friday, August 20th at Port 41 (355 41st Street between 8th & 9th Aves). We have 9 incredible acts which include: Cyre’, Willie Valentin, Jayquan of the Nas-t Boyz and Grey!! Then on Friday, August 27th we’re taking it back to Queens at Static Lounge (28-43 Steinway St in Astoria) with the legendary: Nayobe and freestyle acts: Jennifer Jimenez and Rene! Don’t forget to tune in to the Aurelia Show this Thursday, August 19th at 8:00 pm as I return with “Freestyle Universe on the Aurelia Show”. I’ll be bringing Freestyle acts: Lovari and Wickett!! Did I mention that a screening of my 1-hour all Freestyle special episode will be playing at a theater in Long Island in October? That’s right and DVDs will be on sale at that time! I am currently in talks with a few other television programs about bringing the Freestyle Universe experience to their shows as well, so be on the lookout! Recently I attended “Today’s Freestyle & Stars” hosted by the wonderful Tony Garcia of High Power Records at the UC Lounge in Manhattan. Next Tuesday I’m heading to the Bronx to attend Fever Records Celebrity Softball event for a good cause and I encourage all my New Yorkers to come with as it’s going to be quite an occasion for the whole family! Also, on September 11th my good pal, Freestyle producer/artist: Willie Valentin celebrates the opening of his new Freestyle club: Nine Lounge (73-60 Grand Avenue) in Maspeth, Queens! That’s right my people! We got to do our Freestyle thing and do it big! As I close this little glimpse in to the world of Freestyle, I’d like to invite all of my Freestyle Industry people to the 4th Freestyle Universe Industry Workshop taking place on Monday, August 30th at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church (423 West 46th Street btw 9th & 10th Aves) in Manhattan. This think-tank begins at 6:30 pm and we’re talking Marketing this time! Ok Freestylers, ciao for now!
