I just found out on Lil Suzy's Paradise message board that Gioia formerly of Expose has her own version of Lil Suzy's "From the Inside". She sung it over and seems to be releasing it as a single. You can hear it a short clip of it at Gioia's official site. I wish Suzy could have released her version of that song.
 
Hi evrybody Oh my, I just like went to this expose chicks site and said like "Oh No she didnt!" Who this chick think she is? Messing with our freestyle divas song?!" I'm jokingI liked her in expose and her from the inside is good too. But suzy version was so great I downloaded it a while ago from audio galaxy and couldnt wait till she release it. But i guess this expose chic beat her to it. Anywayz, Suzy is still is our girl

Dam! I really thought that Suzy would release her version.That Suck!!!
I wonder how that happen.How do she get suzy song?That way I think people sould write there own music that way things like this well never happen again.
 
From Gioia...

Hey everyone. I spoke to Gioia's webmaster Rich and he clued me in on what happened with this song. He said that Gioia and Adam Marano got together and wrote this song over a year ago. She tried it out at her shows and the crowd's reaction was amazing. Adam told her he was going to release it through another artist but it just didn't work out...(I'm guessing now that that artist was Lil' Suzy). Anyway, Gioia's been performing it live for over a year now and was getting ready to work on a follow-up to her "Free To Be" single then an album release. Since "From The Inside" was a favorite amongst fans and at live shows, she decided to re-write a lot of the lyrics, change the music completely, and release it as a single soon. She's gotten it remixed by some huge names like E-Smoove and Junior Vasquez. So I guess the answer is: she didn't steal it because it was co-written by her and the new version is 100% hers.

Btw: there's a video clip of Gioia singing the old version of "From The Inside" last year at SPLASH in NYC. Just go to her site at www.gioiabruno.com then after the "From The Inside" intro click on "Multimedia" then "To Video"...then you'll see the SPLASH show clips---great show!
 
Hey Thanks for the infor.I till wish that Suzy could have release her version too.I did hear a clip of gioia and it sound good too.I wish her much luck with it.That way it's better to write and perform your own music.

hey everyone. thanks for writing and your support. flclubkidd pretty much has the story right. the new version is very different and i wrote knew lyrics that aren't on the origianl version i co-wrote a year ago. i haven't heard lil' suzy's version but hey..GIRL POWER! GO FOR IT!!! it's really common for many artists to record a song before it's actually released to the public. sometimes companies make many different artists record a particular song until it just feels right with a particular audience. i'm glad lil' suzy had a chance to record this song...but wait till you guys see what's coming out from G-World...Junior's mix is off the hooooookkk!!!! i was happy to have written the song with Adam but in the past year it has taken on a totally different identity and feeling...i hope you guys will like it.

And YES, i will be including at least 1 or 2 freestyle-types of songs on my album 🙂

Gioia is the sweetest ,real person & would never just steal someones song. LOL She's got way too much class for that. Also, her work is so amazing, she doesn't need any help. I love Lil Suzy as much as the next person, but Gioia's "From The Inside" could blow her off the stage. My opionion ...that's all..
