Today 6 year Georgetown Basketball head Coach; Craig Estereck was fired this morning. The was a huge protest from all the students at The Hill Top. Estereck who took over for long time head Coach John Tompson who Craig was an asst. to and was one of Thompsons first player recruits in 1973.
Estereck is blamed for the post Thompson demise of the great Big East program who failed to make the tournament and make The Big East quarterfinals. The first ever. They ended with a 13-15 record, The Hoyas worst record since 1971-72(John Thompson took over as coach in 1972/73).
I hope Patrick Ewing is named Head Coach. The Hoyas was my College team of my youth growing up, like St Johns was many New Yorkers College team(who also had failed success as of late). and Villanova is Phillys team and Seton hall is to Jersey.
