hey peeps, i am a little disapointed, i tuned into the Frenzy yesterday for the first time in months! the first i think 3 songs were "FREESTYLE REMIXES" of Benny B - Satisfaction, Neo Cortex - elements and 1 more can't remember... anyways what the hell is Moncao thinking playing that on the frenzy???? they were Awful! i mean those 2 songs are great but not as a freestyle mix.. it sounded so stupid... Satisfaction is a crazy house tune and Elements i'd say is Euro.. don't know if u guys heard them but Oh man! what is he thinking playing that crap! those two songs took up about 6-8 minutes of the frenzy when that time could have been used to play some REAL freestyle.. very dissapointed with the frenzy.. no wonder i havent tuned in ... in months!
 
I haven't heard the Frenzy since about March...yeah well fhv5 has a bunch of euro freestyle remixes and its all crap so maybe fhv5 was foreshadowing wut the frenzy would be playing over the next few months...if I wanna hear euro or house I'll listen to cds or to 103 during the other times of the day they play enough of it already so why does it have to work itself into the Frenzy the Frenzy should play what its supposed to FREESTYLE!!!!
 
Yup thats what they do ALL DAY...like now all they play are the "Rush" performers and most of those songs didn't get all that much play before....
 
im with all u guys i didnt like how tony kept repeating that infamous frenzy phrase "hot new remix". i kept track, and yesterday tony played 7 remixes, 5 "pure" freestyle songs, and 1 freestyle remake (elissa - what about me). pretty disappointing i know, it sucks. 🙁
 
It really is dissapointing i mean, its the only Freestyle show we have in the T dot and it sux now.. what a dissapointment! i could not believe it Satisfaction a freestyle mix! lol hahahah whatever! guess i wont be tuning in for another 6 or 7 months!

The frenzy has always sucked. its main use is to sell its cds. thats why over 80 % of the content they play on the show are from the cds. lol thats so lame.

THe best freestyle show in canada is and will always be on

to bad they aren't coming back.

as 103.5 knew the 88.5 freestyle show rocked. it was 2 hours and it killed tony monaco's ratings. lol
 
I understand people's dissapointment but we have to accept the evolution of the Canadian freestyle sound that fully incorporates planet rock, electro, breakbeat, breaks and energetic 2 step, in addition to the traditional old school/hearthrob eleemnts as an integral part of its sound. The freestyle vibe is alive in Canada; the frenzy's ratings are at an all-time high and we have a new generation of record buying teens and new listeners assimilating to our sound, which is also huge in Brazil and Germany. I will give prompts to the labels and stations like Z103 for making freestyle as an integral part of their business model; this is a major victory for freestyle gaining mainstream popularity in Canada.

The strategy that started 3 years ago is working and finally paying off; try sandwiching Joee's newer track between Sonique, Underdog Project and Shannon on a dance floor; people go nuts and raise the profile of the old school tracks. Same goes with Gigi Dagostino, Rockell, M:G and Stevie B; Lil Suzy,Boomfdunk MC's, Collage,Noel and Elissa,...etc. kids love it, recognize it and are brainwashed faster to like freestyle with all of its newer elements.

The frenzy is merely reflecting the latest trends while continiously setting new standards, with associated labels pressing cds like fh5, for newer audiences; it doesn't get any better than this.

fh5 is CRAP

and it didn't appeal to too many people.

i dont think that station knows what they are doing

i vote for us to bring back 88.5
 
ok... mission impossible people.. move on... don't bring anything back, bring out something new, if u got the power and will to do it

LOL the new Joee track is probably one of the more old-school sounding tracks on the CD.

FH5 wasn't "Crap", I would say Sonic Youth or Marilyn Manson is CRAP. There were a few good songs on the CD, certainly it was worth buying. What can you expect. The frenzy will play what will make the most money for them... and in this case, it's the music they've released on CD.

Let's start a pirate radio station playing freestyle 24/7.

or u can just start a internet radio station running on winanmp/ shoutcast. i used to do that back in 2000
