Even though I don't watch that horrible show, but; DC's own Frenchie Davis(a student of Howard Univ. which is 3 blocks from my house) was booted from American Idol semi finals for posing for an Adult Net Site topless. She put on her application that she was in Adult Entertainment(unlike Sarah from Joe Millionaire who denied on her application that she was in S&M videos) so she could pay for school. I don't know why they would boot her for that. Is this the same network that began life airing the most sleazest show ever; Married With Children, The Simpsons, Bridezilla, Who Wants to marry a Millionaire. Get real FOX,OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Exactly, I heard last year there was a girl who was an ex stripper who made the semi finalist, but because Frenchie did porn she gets booted. I know she's not worth a gallon of drool, but still that's not fair. I know there are bring back Frenchie petition sites.
 
It appears the decision was not from the Fox Network but from the producers, even though they knew from the begining of her porn stint. The producers have informed her that due to her talent, they will push for her career anyways, behind the scenes.

Overall, it appears the producers of the show were concerned that should she win the "American Idol", her past behaviour would be a bad example to be looked after since the show is a role model for aspiring stars, especially the teenage audience. They did not want to see her associated with the label "american idol". Look at Vanessa Williams in the 80's and her penthouse nudie stint,when she was stripped of her miss usa title, her career thrived regardless, but outside of the traditional "miss usa" parameters which affect youth and society as a whole.
 
There is where I kind of disagree. Lets look at the word: American Idol. If you can think of a couple of women who are American Idols, these names come to mind: Madonna(who in her prime used to get naked at every second) and Halle Berry(who started to peak after Swordfish and Monsters Ball when she started getting topless). Talking about a teen image, lets look at Britney and X-Tina were teen stars, but now they are starting to wear very little clothing now!! I just think it's stupid what they are doing with Frenchie. It's FOX, a channel that makes an effort not to be CBS, makes an effort to be edgy unlike ABC.

i heard about htis today... pitty she was indeed very talented... but i also heard about the petitions started for her to go back or something like that... but it's true, that american idol should be an idol not someone who'se done some dirty shht... i'm not agreeing or disagreeing to just one side... but she can't expect to be chosen to go into the next round knowing about her past.. cos really, no one was competition for her, she was way too strong for everyone there, and if she got chosen to be an A.I. it would look bad in the face of america that their new idol is an ex-porn star (or someone who tried to be one)... you know what i mean?

all the luck to her, she should most definately persue career in music, when gift like that is given, you should not give up for that is a sin.
 
It's too bad because she had a great voice. And so far, I dont think a lot of these contestants have great voices. Im sure the producers had a good reason to let her go since they let Nikki McKibbin, who was a stripper, stay during the first American Idol.

It's just stupid for FOX of all people to question moral standards. HELLO!!! They began existence airing Married with Children, They aired Who Wants To Marry A Millionaire, they aired Bridezilla. But not wanting a contestant on American Idol 2 due to her laying out for CyberPorn!! I still think it's stupid.
 
I dont think it's FOX that made the choice...it's the producers of the show that did. And Im sure they had a good reason for it. Dont forget, a lot of young people are the ones that watch AI. It's bad enough kids have role models like Christina Aguilera and Brittney Spears prancing around half-naked.

That's my point Randi. Many girls/females who are real American Idols make an effort to wear as little clothing as possible. Look at last years winner;Kelly, she had a big hit, but did not show lots of skin, where is she now?LOL
 
Actually, her album is due out in the spring and she has a movie coming out. So u havent seen the last of her.
