Delicious D, this is a freestyleboard. I don't know how many times I've seen you posting all your favorite Hispanic and non hispanic rapgroups. Don't get me wrong, Rap was my first love too, I still love the rapmusic from Back in the day. But I don't care for 97% of the new rapmusic.
(Actually Cypress Hill's first Selftitled album was my first rap cd back in 93 If I remember it right)

I have to say I def pick freestyle over rap. I can't stand rap music. I just can't feel it.
 
Hmmmm, I guess I shouldn't reply since I never really liked rap. I'm from CHICAGO where I grew up on Disco then House. Eventually Hip House came in which is probably considered evolving Hip Hop into House. I will listen to Hip House day & night before I listen to Hip Hop. But since the question is Freestyle vs. Hip Hop, I will gladly take FREESTYLE anyday.
 
My foundation is mostly with freestyle music. I didnt start listening to rap music until about maybe '92. I cant really pick one over the other it just depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes it's freestyle sometimes it's rap. 🙂
 
WELL I MISSED THE FREESTYLE ERA... I WAS INTO RAP!!! (HANGING HEAD IN SHAME NOW)... HOWEVER IT SOON TURNED INTO HARD ROCK... YES I WAS A FORMER METAL HEAD.... (BANGING MY HEAD ON A GUITAR NOW)... HOWEVER NOW I HAVE COME TO ENJOY LISTENING TO WHAT I HAVE MISSED IN THE PAST.. SO IN A WAY ITS A GOOD THING THAT FREESTYLE IS STILL AROUND...🙂
