What are the main differences between freestyle and vocal miami bass?
(by vocal miami bass I mean, Inoj, Katrina & Virgo as featured on So so def bass all stars cd)

or are the two styles quite similar?

2. BOOTY BOUNCE VIDEO: Has anyone seen this video and does it have any freestyle on it? ie: corina -summertime

The soso def songs are like faster rnB songs with a bassbeat on it.
I would say the main difference is that these vocal miamibass songs are more rnb. the corina song is freestyle yes. Carlos Berrios made a slammin remix of it also.

miami bass is cool music...the main difference is really the BASS!! I also agree with alex in the more of an RnB sound!!!

I agree. Miami/Southern Booty Bass tends to lean more towards r&b and hip hop, but the music is fast and it brings together hip hop, r&b and dance

I've always considered Miami Bass to be like 2 Live Crew and DJ Laz kind of sound.

YOU GUYS SHOULD CHECK OUT THE SOSODEF BASS COMPILATIONS...THEY ARE REAL GOOD.....FREESTYLE DIVA CORINA REMADE "SUMMERTIME, SUMMERTIME" IN ENGLISH AS WELL AS A SPANISH VERSION...SHES HOTTT!!!THATS ON VOLUME 2...ALSO ON VOL.3 RICKY BELL DOES THE BELL BIV DEVOE HIT "WHEN WILL I SEE YOU SMILE AGAIN"IN BASS ITS REALLY HOT!!!!

I remember

When DJ LAZ and Danny D did their thing back then for Power 96. Miami Bass has two forms with the more latin/ freestyle type feel to it. Then you have the ghetto/Overtown,Liberty city type sound like the Jamponi Express, Luke, and Parkway Boyz, DJ Magic Mike. I grew up listening to both with Kid Curry, DJ Laz and DJ Eddie Mix. I had the pleasure of working with Laz at Scribbles and Baja Beach Club.

Freestyle is in a category by itself.
