there was a female singer.. who also had her own freestyle hit.
she sang back up.. think in you mind of the song. when sam says in the song... " I guess I am on my own...,, in the back round you here.."I'm in love" ) done by a woman.. she has other parts in the song too... not lead...

Since I'm at work right now, I obviously do not have a copy of the 12" single accessable to me at the moment, but I will venture a guess...

Given the year the single was released, the label (Cutting Records) and their roster at that time, I will guess: Yvonne DeLeon. The only factor that doesn't fit into that equation would be the song's producer (Albert Cabrera) as Yvonne was working with Elis Pacheco at that time.

This was only a guess (and I'm probably wrong).
