no doubt about it east coast.....west coast LOL

Definitely East! But this isn't turning into one of those hip hop battles b/w East and West coast, is it? 😀

i guess i gotta say east coast cuz my favorite artists r from here-who are some west coast artists? i dont think im familiar with any.

there wont be any ugly battles like hip-hop had. we are too smart and too educated to do something as savage as what the hip-hop artists/fans have done.

I like em both the same. I like the old school flava of the east coast, and I also like the newer sound of the west coast.

what kind of crap is that

just to let you know
who cares about east and west coast freestyle.. freestyle is shit where ever you have it. from maine to mongolua
freestyle in some cities are trying to revive it
so how dare you put freestyle in competition by coasts
what do youthink this gangsta rap?

i feel much better now

I AGREE WITH ROOKIE LETS NOT START THIS STUFF ITS ALWAYS DRAMA UP IN HERE AND ITS GETTING OLD BESIDES WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EAST COAST AND WEST COAST FREESTYLE ANYWAY I DIDNT THINK THTA THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE BESIDES THE TIME ZONES?????😕

by the way..

ClubFreestyle.com will be working toward developing and exposing more west coast freestyle artists..parties, etc.
There is allot of HOT west cost Freestyle music. some of you don't know about it yet. trust me. I wouldent let you down!

I'm sorry you peeps feel that way about the West Coast artist. I'm into "GOOD FREESTYLE", and supporting "ANY" freestyle thats good enough to get adds on the radio.

The my "I" look at it is like this. The East Coast is great, but I think for it as a"UNDERGRAND SOUND" I tend to think of the West Coast style more of "MAINSTREAM SOUND".

But as JackG has posted, there is alot of WEST COAST freestyle that you have't heard yet, and that I think of as the "UNDERGROUND SOUND" also.

Example could be "Frankie Boy". Evey time I play something from him, some East Coaster in the Chatroom asks about him, and the name of the song that I'm playing. I can recall reading in DMA magazine, that Bernard Rosenberg called "Frankie Boy" a "YOUNG GEORGE LAMOND".

Like Frankie Boy, there are lots of WEST COAST freestyle with the "East Coast", "UNDERGROUND SOUND", or "OLD SKOOL SOUND". I think that one of the reasons that you EAST COAST headz don't hear about them, or even a lot of us West Coast peeps is becuzz "THIS SOUND" does don't get "RADIO PLAY" "ANYWHERE" unlike Angelina, Jocelyn Enriquez, MG, Christina Marie, among others.

Something else that needs to be pointed out is that this so called "WEST COAST SOUND" isn't only coming from the West Coast. Examples are Paradgim, Robin Fox, and I'm pretty sure that La Rissa is from somewhere out in the East too.

Notice that all these records, both EAST & WEST are what has kept or music, somewhat "ALIVE" on the charts and radio playlists.

Being that its not JUST the West Coast putting out this sound, and getting the RADIO PLAY, and in a very few cases "ADDS", but it BOTH East & West, why not just call it "FREESTYLE"???

I mean, just like in Hip-Hop there is a radio sound, and a underground sound right??
What was the Main stream sound in Hip-Hop back in the 80's doesn't work anymore on radio, and any NEW HIP-HOP with this sound would be called "UNDERGROUND", So why not do the same thing?

I have more to say, but i gotz to go, I'll Be back
