I've been coming to club freestyle for a couple of months now and all I ever see people talk about are Freestyle artists from the NY area. Why? And they all seem to be about the same ol' old skool ones ie. Cynthia, Johnny O., Stevie B., TKA, etc., etc. Don't get me wrong, these artists are great and maybe considered legends but damn there are many up and coming freestylers from all over the U.S. and world for a matter of fact. I live in Texas and know of many great local acts whom I never see mentioned here. Have you guys heard of George Patino, Marcos B., Danny Damian, Leo DeLeon, Julissa, Cesar, Tora, Chris Diaz, PFL, Tavey? I think it's time for NYC area to open their mind and accept the reality of freestyle outside of NY. Who knows maybe it's just me who's mistaken and this website is just a NY only thing but I thought freestyle was freestyle. Let me know your thoughts
 
Danny! Hi! What you need to realize is that the majority of the people that post up on this site are from NY! Spread the word about CF and get the people in TX up in here to post about all of these artists you mentioned. I'm from New Orleans and there is no freestyle scene here at all! Of all the ones you posted...the only ones I recongnize are Julissa and Tora. :crap

The members here at CF are always willing to embrace new freestyle!

Krystal, I've sent in my mp3 for CF to post up somewhere on their website so people can download it and listen to it. CF needs to have a section in which up and coming freestylers can post their mp3s so everyone on here may listen to it or dl it. I'm trying to get some new stuff in here but to no avail. Let's have a make it or break it section on here.

Hey Danny D, welcome aboard CF. I'm a radio DJ in San Antonio, Tx. I can tell you I've helped resurect the freestyle scene in SA. I'm the only radio DJ that will spin freestyle on the air. I play many of the artists that you mentioned on the radio. I agree there are plenty of TX Freestyle artists that need to be showcased. With the help of people like you and me, we can help spread the word about our hometown artists.
 
What's Up DannyD!?! I'm from the same area as you bro (Oak Cliff). All of the *Local Artists* have been mentioned on CF before. And they have Lots of Love here, as well as any other Freestyle Artists (from other areas). We just need more people from the Dallas area, to let the News be known on the Artists (old/new) that are from here. And I guess that goes for the Fans/Supporters from all over. Keep in touch, man, I'd like to talk some Freestyle with you. 🙂

The problem with the Texas area it's that the Freestyle pros are very discreet. It's very difficult to get the products if you leave outside your area. Maybe it will be cool to invite them to chat on the different message boards. And for what I know, since around 3 years ago the Freestyle market is very quiet. I didn't see a new single since a while now.

Even if most of the CF members are from NY area, many of them would interested to hear more stuff from Texas area. When you like Freestyle, you don't care about the area or country.

I happen to be a BIG fan of Leo DeLeon....unfortunately, his music I happened upon, since his stuff isn't played up here...maybe I should travel to freestyle hotbeds other than NYC, LOL
 
Im from the bay area freestyle is present but i wish it was bigger like the NY area. i heard of Julissa outta that list and damn Julissa is so freakin georgeous i would kill 2 meet her in person!

Hi,

If you have time guys it will be cool to post (on CF) from time to time some information about the latest "official" single releases. Personally, I've heard of many projects (Ascension's album & single for instance) from Texas, but none of us have been released.

I'm sure everybody here will be happy to see something new from Texas, this area also contributed to Freestyle music fame. It's too bad that most of the main artists/labels only did few songs, and after that, they disappeared.

Hope to see new stuff from Texas soon.😉

i know everything seems to be "New York, New York, New York" here in Chicago well, years ago it was all..Legacy, LAW..etc.but that was years ago and Chicago is pretty much ghetto now 🙁
 
I'm back! I passed the News along to Leo DeLeon. Hopefully it went through. I tried reaching Danny Damien also, but his e-mail account must not be up anymore. So hopefully I/We hear something from them soon.
