Freestyle on TV, 2K3!

Hey, all;

I got a telephone call this afternoon from my cousin who knows that I have a connection to Freestyle and many of it's artists...

This afternoon from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, a television show entitled "Sonidos" aired on Chicago's WBBM-TV (Channel 2). The reason that my cousin called me is that he saw TKA on his screen conducting an interview. In the short time that I had to catch the show, the footage also interviewed Sal Albatiello, Judy Torres, Coro and Kayel/K7. Who knows what else I missed.

My DirecTV scheduled listed the special as..."Sonidos Volume 2: The Holiday Music Guide-December 2003". The interviews seemed to connect Freestyle with today's artists such as Marc Anthony. They also touched on reasons behind the fall of Freestyle.

I went to the "SonidosTV" website and found a listing of the other stations that will be, or have already broadcast the special. I caught it late, but it may not be too late in your area...perhaps you can fill us in on what we missed.

I hope that you all can catch it and respond. I have had an idea for an article on why I feel that the Freestyle movement stallled for about a year now...I'll complete it soon, but this special is worth watching.

The segment on Freestyle aired at the start of the show. By 12:20, it was all over.
