it's been a coulpe of years since plastique played alot of freestyle.it's sad but it seems that a coulple of sets is the max at clubs. freestyle sounds great on the frenzee and pumping in the house and in the car but it seems with the exception of a handful of songs people just don't dance to freestyle and the same goes for euro and house tracks. the more exposure hip-hop gets the more people groove to the music. It's a shame but with so many stations pumping the urban sound this is what happens. Believe me I've seen the rise and fall and the comeback of freestyle on many occasions over the past 20 years. freestyle beats or break-beats are being used more than ever before so the scene is getting some respect but we are currently lack a major freestyle bomb. we need a rockell, we need a stevie, we need a science and for now we don't have that big bomb that gets 70 spins a week. I'm playing some great new stuff on the frenzee but it's not being added to our playlist and that is the bottom line. without a major freestyle hit on radio it's tough to pump it in the clubs because it's not familiar with the masses. Hopefully something big will come out of the winter music meetings later this month in Miami.
