I need a little help from you DJ's on internet radio. I have some of my mixes on CD. I want to set up a "web Radio station" and put these mixes on it to everyone here @CF enjoy them.

Do any of you know how I can accomplish this?

BTW, I have a Mac G4 400 mHz. Three 1200's and Pioneer CDJ 100's if this helps.
 
i have 2 radio stations myself. you need to decide if you want to pay a monthly fee to be licensed on live365.com or for free on winamp.com. i run my main station on winamp. i find winamp easier to use since u can straight upload your mp3's. on live 365 you have to convert them to fit their format. then you will need to download the broadcasting program from the site you choose to be a part of. both live 365 and winamp/shoutcast, will walk you through this process.
on live365 they will act as your server,on winamp you will need to be your own server if you have broadband modem or if you have dialup, you can find someone to use as your server.

Can upload live mixes? You know, as I mix, it goes straight to the internet?
 
That winamp stuff, unless you advertise real well is hard to get listeners to listen to your mixes...... Out of hundreds of other broadcasting stations. Advice: Make a scedule and stick to it. Get yourself known on the sites and let everyone know about your schedule. Always stick to it if you want people coming back to it.

well i for one have a loyal audience. i get a good group of peeps from 9-5 everyday and then a few people tune in after work as well as on the weekends. i only advertise on cf and clubplanet. but i am listed on all the major search engines.
