Hey wanted to add to Ekin's post that also
in orlando Club Caliente plays freestyle on friday nites
its located in downtown orlando
Also the radio station 91.5 "freestyle Underground Jam" w/ fireball
comes on every friday/sat. mornings 1am till 3am!!!
 
Well here in Tampa we got....

'Club 1509' on Friday nights has "Noche Latina" but they play 1-2 hours worth of mainly old-skool Freestyle & the club must know the crowd loves it since the floor is pretty packed & they continue to do it. Contact info:

I know of not one club that plays freestyle here in Chicago or Chicago Burbs......Freestyle Friday sounds like a great idea at any club - but nothing even slightly close that I know of here..... If anyone knows of a club in Chicago/burbs that plays freestyle, let me know, Im there!

Yes I did... As a matter a fact, i have send 3 Different emails to two seperate DJ's at that club, as well as calling. (Got an ans. machine) with No luck yet.... If you happened to know anyone there, let me know so we can DO THIS!

Freestyle mom, i didnt know that bocajoes had freestyle fridays. I've been in nyc for the past ten years, but i grew up in the lehigh valley and i still go down there to visit all my family. Last time i was there my cousins were heading out to bocajoes. I was suppose to go but i had something early to do here the next day. Do you remember when the roxy nightclub in bethlehem was open back in the eightees? It was afterhours and they would have alot of freestyle and house. I saw a couple of oldschool freestyle acts there.

Yes, they ARE hard to get a hold of at Boca's! Keep trying! Check to see if their old website is still up and running, flashbacksandbocajoes.com. They had their AOL email addy's on there, and thats one way I reach them. If not I can PM you with how to IM them. The owner is Tony/Anthony on the site, and theres more than one dj now thats spinning freestyle there, but ButtaballEd is the one that brings in the live acts, from what I've heard. They are online at least once a day. You can post in their GuestBook on their site to get a hold of you.

Also, BigPapiRick is from our town, goes to all the shows at Boca's and does a review on them for his website www.lehighvalley2night.com. He can be reached at that site, on AOL, and here on CF. He might be able to help you more than me. Did you have any luck with DJBabyJ at VolcanoNightclub? He used to book alot of freestyle too, ending with last year!

LAST TIME I SPOKE TO JOHNNY ABOUT BRINGING FS ARTISTS DOWN, HE DIDNT SEEM TO EAGER OR EXCITED. THE SUMMER IS ENDING, WHICH ALSO MEANS ALL "THE KIDS" ARE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL. LESS HIP HOP AND MORE FS/DANCE MUSIC AT THE CLUBS. MAYBE, NOW JAMMIN JOHNNY WILL WANT TO.

Latif from Metropolitan said in the Top forum (articles?) that he's been sending freestyle artists to Boca Joes. Maybe he can help you get better results from them than I can. Did they get back to you yet?

God, I wish I was going to Beatstock tomorrow, but thats too far for me! Can somebody PLEASE bring Johnny O to BocaJoes? Cynthia was there already and had to find a guy in the audience to sing Johnny O's part to "DreamBoy/DreamGirl"! Only problem was, he refused to sing it lol so he did some improvised rapping instead!🙁

In Staten Island , NY club ATLANTIS on Hylan Blvd. has freestyle fridays w/ Budz spinning and live performances every few fridays....talk to Johnny Budz....he can definately help you out with all the details....😛
