Does anyone know of any clubs in NYC or Long Island where grown-ups (30 and older) can hang out, have some drinks and listen to some classic disco/freestyle/dance? Every place I've been too lately is overrun with 23 year-olds obsessed with Eminem. I'm getting so desperate that I'm thisclose to opening up a place myself. Many thanks in advance.
 
not many clubs cater to us fans much unless its a big event (club blis, exit, etc) but some clubs do play freestyle and danceble music such as BLU in Garden City on Long Island, Zacharys' in East Meadow or DNA in Astoria, Queens.
 
ZACHARY'S is a great choice...Blu is amazing also, but lotsa pepole..cant even walk in there after 1am...sweat sexy peeeps..oh baby!!>.but zachary's is great just to chill..and the play a nice freestyle set a coupla times a nite

so in young clubs i'm known as "uncle" and in latin clubs i'm known as "that big white guy"...i cant win...just cant win

The club that we go to (cuz we get the hook-up on drinks) is like the 18 to 21 crowd! ROFL and here we are the 28+ crowd hangin out in there. Some of the looks we get! :stoned

I'm new to the site and glad to see that Freestyle has got so much support. I though I was the only one driving around listening to Coro, Li'l Suzy and Cynthia.

Blu is pretty good. I'm trying to convince my buddies to come with tomorrow to catch TKA. Tuff to do on a weeknight: the spirit is willing but the body is resisting big time.

I thought I heard on KTU that there's a Freestyle Thursday in Queens. Is that at DNA? Could it be at Destinations? I'm anxious to bust out some of my old moves (kidding).

I believe its DESTINATIONS. I might have it on the calender but ive been way to busy with the next CF PROJECT.
