OK, I AM FAIRLY NEW TO CF..BEEN FOLLOWING THE FORUM THREADS AND AS MOST HAVE MY OWN OPINION OF MOST THINGS.. I KNOW I MAY GET SLAUGHTERED BY THIS, BUT...WHEN DID EXPOSE' BECOME FREESTYLE??????!!! BACK IN THE DAY, THEY WERE CONSIDERED PART OF THE MIAMI SOUND,NEVER EVER MENTIONED AS FREESTYLE BACK THEN...I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THEM IN THE FORUM REFERRED TO AS FREESTYLE...DO YOU ALSO CONSIDER THERE ONLY #1 BILLBOARD POP SONG "SEASON'S CHANGE" FREESTYLE?? ALTHOUGH THE GROUPS POPULARITY DEFINATELY TOOK A NOSE DIVE AFTER GIOIA LEFT...CAN ANYONE NAME 1 SONG ON THEIR 3RD ALBUM THAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER FREESTYLE? FREESTYLE IS A GREAT GENRE OF MUSIC...WITH GREAT ARTISTS...BUT COME ON!!! NOT EVERY GROUP THAT PUT OUT A DANCEABLE SONG SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FREESTYLE! I CERTAINLY DON'T CONSIDER THEM A RAP GROUP JUST BECAUSE THERE WAS A LITTLE RAP ON "TELL ME WHY"!😀

Welcome Scotman! I'm not her to slaughter you! Everyone has a right to their opinion as I'm sure you will see when everyone starts replying to your post. 🙂 But anyway, Welcome to the CF familia! 😛

Well, they were definetly part of the MIAMI DANCE SCENE and they just fit right in with the music (freestyle) and the rest is history. I myself never considered "season's change" a freestyle song. It was a fantastic "ballad". I still hear the softer stations playing it all the time.

As for the 3rd album, I cannot recollect a freestyle song on it. Then again, at the time of it's release, FREESTYLE had pretty much been tossed aside by many.

Just because they recorded a ballad, that makes them not freestyle?

Sweet Sensation hit #1 with "If Wishes Came True", does that make them not freestyle?

Stevie B. hit #1 with "Because I Love You", does that make him not freestyle?

Timmy T. hit #1 with "One More Try", does that make him not freestyle?

The Cover Girls and TKA recorded songs that were of different genres, does that make them not freestyle?

I think that a majority of acts recording freestyle do different styles of music on their cds.

Expose` "Exposure" cd had the folloing freestyle songs on it:

"Come Go With Me", "Exposed To Love", "Extra Extra", "Point Of No Return", "Love Is Our Destiny", "I Know You Know", "You're The One I Need"

Out of 10 songs, 7 freestyle songs. I consider that a freestyle album.

Expose` "What You Don't Know" cd had the following freestyle songs on it (In My Opinion, these songs classify as freestyle):

"What You Don't Know", "Stop, Listen, Look & Think", "Let Me Down Easy","Still Hung Up On You", "Now That I found You",

Out of 11 songs, 5 are freestyle (or, to suit the opinions of others, freestyle-ish)

Expose` "Expose`" cd had the following freestyle (or freestyle-ish) songs:

"Face to Face"

Out of 12 songs, 1 that may be considered freestyle.

While the amount of freestyle decreased, during the years when freestyle had a firm grip on radio, Expose`'s cds, while not 100% freestyle, did have a fair amount of freestyle on them, and in my eyes, that makes them a freestyle act.
