Actually it's considered Adult Contemporary/Jazz. It is in heavy rotation on Light Jazz Radio Stations here in the states (a/k/a "Smooth Jazz"). Just because it samples the beat from "Running" by Information Society doesn't make it Freestyle. ;-)

As a matter of fact, just because a "dance" song has a "Planet Rock"-ish beat (like these "breakbeat" remixes of Trance records now-a-days) doesn't make it Freestyle.

Thanks for sharing that link, I've been looking for thid title of this track for a long ass while, .........Yeah last time I heard that track was when I was in my teenage years, but it's a tight track, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it freestyle anthem, but I'm witnessing lots of today's pop tracks are incorporating old school/electro funk/freestyle type of sounds into todays music, and I think it's a beautiful thing! Some might call it raping the freestyle art , but I see it as growing chance to accept what we have and move on with it. I'm in no way implying that we leaving freestyle music and CERTAINLY not naming it , but just riding the wave! Just my two cents.
 
keep in mind that paul hardcastles rainforest trax came out in 1985 i dont know how much differnt the original Wide Angle, records version is to the tommy boy remix
