This is why I said that Kraftwerk is undeniably the founder of Freestyle, or of Electro for those who don’t put this musical genre as a Freestyle one.

Francis your chronological post for this question makes much sense since time periods in history are forever written .However I did notice something you wrote as I stated above. Not everyone puts the two genres together as you do.And I think that is the cause of this ongoing debate. Yes Kraftwerk was undoubtedly a pioneer with this new sound but I don't think they are given the gold medal for what came afterwards with the introduction of Baker & Robie. I think those two let the genie out of the bottle. In closing though there are times that I listen to pre-Robie and Baker jamz and say "shit that could be Freestyle"

I asked to several producers...and you know what, nobody knows!?!🙁

Only the DJs from the 80's could (maybe)answer??? 😉

So, I will say that Kraftwerk "maybe" inspired Baker & Robie! LOL 😉

For me, Electro Funk is part of Freestyle and it will stay so, whatever the people say to me. 😉

Many people that I know (from all around the world) think the same.

I think that may actually be the case Francis and I too feel that Electro is in some way a part of Freestyle, kind of like a stepping stone. However when I listen to some really old school ,behind the scenes, underground pure Freestyle from the earlier days there is a difference to me.

"What do you mean I'm funny?"
"Am I a clown?
"Do I amuse You"?
"What the F**k is so funny about me?"
