Actually Naya, many know your name. Just not the genre of music you sing. They associate you with Pop or Club instead of Freestyle.

I know this because though I am a native New Yorker, Being a Military Brat, I've also grew up in other regions of the States. And i've come to this conclusion on why Freestyle never really took off.
Bad Publicity or little to none.

When I first heard of you Nyasia, I think I was 19. (Geeezzz.... That sounds so long ago.) Along with Judy Torres and Cynthia, johnny O...all of em. My cousins would make tapes for me and mail them because where I was at the time had absolutly no idea of this type of music. Mama, I I used to rock your jams till my friends complained! LOL....(Still do.)
Not to get off the subject, a lot of my friends associated you with Pop and or Club Music. So with that said, they know you, but just not the genre.
