You were born on January 31st, 1966
Who would have thought you'd grown up like this

I would have called you today to say happy birthday
But things have changed; YOU pushed me away
I want you to know I have not forgotten this date
It's been over a decade that I've been your friend

Last year I wrote you a poem and sent you a present
This year I don't have that preference
However, somehow I had to continue the tradition
The difference is you won't read it behind the office partition
You probably won't even read this one
Since you hardly even look here for some wisdom

And I wont expect the phone call on my cell
Hearing you say Lou, thanks, you're really something else

I know how you feel
Your actions cuts me like steel
But that's not why I'm writing this poem
I just want to say
I still remember this 31st day

I Said it before and I'll say it AGAIN!
