performances to see 🙄 😡

Why the !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is it only me, Del, Chulo, Taz, Armando & Vinnie at The Diamante Show every month 😕

distance is a major factor. It's like me saying "why am i the only one supporting TKA at ZACHARY'S & BLU?"

I understand people want new FS but radio wont play it if it isnt conformed to what main stream is. In order for it to make a come back it has to be something the stations will play and lets face it fans wont support it because it wont be full blown FS. In the end you have to loose a little of what you are use to to gain a little more. Why is it the artist who have come out with full blown FS tracks arent heard, because radio isnt to keen on playing it. Its not a question about putting out more FS songs because plenty of artist have and are it just wont get played we have seen it over and over.

chek out elissa...one of the best candaian freestyle artists...she comes out with new stuff every so often, nd she still roxx the joints! roxx the radio nd all...juss cuz she dont sound like trinere...dont mean shes not freestyle. maybe if peeps let go off the old school a little bit and try a little bit of new school it will get played. Think about, most of the mainstream music is marketed at a younger crowd - if freestyle were to market a younger (new generation of freestyle phreaks!) crowd, it would get played pretty often.

is that a hint naya??? u gonna give us sum mo - new shtuff? lol I hope to see a lot more freestyle in the new year...the artists nd fans deserve it to the full extent...especially cf phreaks! LOL

Thats the thing mama labels etc etc arent willing to put the money out to market these artist as they deserve so that the younger crowds etc etc could hear it there are so many factors to take into consideration regarding these issuse everything is entwined air play, marketing etc etc.

Kenny, MANY people from the boards live in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island & North NJ...those places are all pretty close to the Diamante Show...It's the same 5 or 6 of us all year long...it's pathetic

true true

ur right...thats too bad tho!:sosad

havent they considered that if they do market their artists better - they juss might take in more dollas? probably more then they put out..😱

What i meant in my post is that the artist i listed HAVE NEVER ABANDONE FREESTYLE. Now dont get me wrong about safire she's great and to tell you the truth she one of my favorite freestyle artists.I also know she has done alot to keep freestyle going, but im not one to beat around the bush. I speake the truth and that is that some artist have left freestyle for another genre of music. For example Marc Anthony and India I loved their old skool stuff, but i never once heard them credit freestyle. Like i said before i greatly admire the one's that have stuck in there through the years with out giving up on our music. A good example of that is Stevie B I know the last time he released new material was in 2000, but take in concideration that stevie is one of the oldest freestyle artists age wise (sorry bout that stevie). And still every concert i been to of his he alays gives props to freestyle. So what if he says he's gonna retire but doesn't The man is older that any freestyle artist alive and he still doing his thing, i don't care what people say about him their will always be hatters, especialy with the most famouse one's, they always get drama from the fans. Stevie has been here for 18 yrs and like i always say, if you admite it or not thats a diff story but deep down inside everyone know's he's THE FREESTYLE KING.

With respect to all the other artists. I think everyone with real freestyle knowledge knows that Stevie B is the king, with out a doubt.

To my surprise, Stevie didn't get as many votes for "king of freestyle" as I would've figured, on that king / queen thread a few weeks ago. 😕

Matt

every1 has their personal opinion but if u take into consideration that stevie b:

1...is a freestyle legend
2...is the most recognized icon WORLDWIDE in freestyle music
3...stix to his siiit and gives major props
4...new shtuff is always successfull!

ya sure other artists are legends and what not...but stevie's beatz have always been around - and juss his simple presence - will always be around! lol 😉

i hear tommy mottola is in danger of not being head of sony music nemore or so i read, but if so would neone here apply for the position,so that u can give a freestyle artist a major contract.....the fact of the matter is yeah we all love freestyle here and we all want it to become huge again, but we need a major label to support it and promote the music....one who has the financial capabilities...thats it!!! freestyle is too good of a music for people not to fall in love with it all over again, it just has to be put back out into the public eye!!!

Exactly people will always have their own opinion, and vixen very well said.

Stevie B.......is the most recognized icon WORLDWIDE in freestyle music.

There are many great freestyle artists. I must, however, agree with the many who feel Stevie B is a "king" in freestyle.

Let's not forget to mention one very overlooked aspect of Stevie B's success: He wrote & produced all his own songs! Talk about multi-talented 🙂
