What is your most fondest memory with a TKA song. Where were you at that time and what song was it?


Personally for me it's when Maria came out. I met my husband on a bus around that time and it was his favorite song too. Six years later we are still together and it's still OUR SONG.

Seriously, I was in a car with my two friends...and then, I hear this song...and I stay there like "WTF? WTF IS THIS?!? 😱 WHAT a beaufiful song!"

My man replies, that is Louder Than Love.

TKA he said. I will never forget it. Then I picked up the TKA greatest hits, and heard all their songs, and I was like...WHOA!

But I have heard them before on the radio, but I was lost cause video games REALLY sucked me into another dimension.

Ok...It was about 5 years ago...lol

I was listening to the radio one sunny day....And Louder Than Love was on...It was so beautiful, I think I cried. I happened to be very emotional that day, and that song touched me. I called my mom into the room, and asked who sung this...She told me TKA, and I ran to my dads CDs, and found there Greatest Hits....After that, I fell in love with EVERY song they ever made....😀
 
Ok, it was 1987...I was on a school trip walk-a-thon...my boy had a boombox....the old KTU was in a mix.....Scars Of Love came on after Hungry For Your Love.....it was the first time I heard it...I was like DAMN...that sh** is slammin!!! 😱
 
well, there are 2. when my ex and i broke up, i tried to throw it back in her face by making her feel guilty and telling her "DONT BE AFRAID" because it didnt matter any longer.

we soon got back together and i had not known the reason why she had broken up with me. i found she was cheating on me. so, in order to get even, i found another girl. that perfectly described "ONE WAY LOVE". I swaer i thought they were writing songs about my love life!

I HAVE SOOO MANY MEMORIES WITH TKA SONGS..,,,BUT ONE OF THE FUNNIEST I REMEMBER WAS WHEN ME AND MY BF BROKE UP AND HE KEPT CRANKING ME WITH "GIVE U'R LOVE TO ME"....I REMEMBER BEIN LIKE WTF THEN I JUST STARTED SINGIN ON TOP OF MY LUNGS........

lol well the song is an old one...maybe some of u dont even know it...its someone in the dark...i had this boyfriend...(my first boyfriend ever)..i use to sneak him in my room at night when all were sleeping and we use to listen to the scars of love cd...and when that song came on it was always special 🙂 🙁

man those were the days...i still have the urge to sneak guys up in my room, it was always so exciting...u know making sure no one is up and all that, lol
 
well all of my earliest memories of TKA were with my big sister. we used to listen to them alllllllll the time. she'd go to the clubs (i was too young to go) and come home and tell me all about their shows. those days were so wonderful, i wish i could relive them. i even have some pictures of them when she saw them at avanti's... those were the days.... 🙂

hmmmm.... maria was a favorite of ours.... we made up a dance to it too, which no one will ever see. LMFAO!!

but really though, every song of theirs conjures up some kind of feeling or memory for me. If ya made me choose, I'd say Louder than love is the song that gives me my most heartfelt memory. 😉

I have a fond memory with TKA's "You Are The One".

U know thse days where everythnig just seems to go right? That's what happened on this particular day (when I lived in NY) & I heard this song toward the end of my "funky-dope" day on the radio! I know this probably sounds corn, but this song tends to lift me up since that day on! Oh Well!
 
For me I think it was hanging in front of our building... I was like 13 my cousin Iris was 16, and her friends .

I heard Scars of love and I was just chillin and talkin to peeps....
Back then even though life was complicated for me in the city....It seemed easier than my life now....no worries then
 
even though me and my ex wife are apart now..my fondest memory was when we got engaged..I took her to windows on the world (which was in the world trade center for those of you not from new york) at about that time "maria" had just come out..so i kept playing it over and over...she was going nuts..she was a little angry with me by the time we got there....well we sat down for dinner and she was still acting cold...so while she was looking at her menu ..i put the ring i got her on her straw in her drink..when she put the menu down she still didnt see it until she picked up the glass to take a sip..she was so surprised she started crying..i got down on my knee and proposed right there in front of everybody..everybody in the resteraunt then started clapping..when we finished the evening we got in the car to go home..she put the tape in and we listened to "maria" all the way home😉
