With this new strain of the flu this season and the way the news has been talking about it and talking about it, how many of you have gone for the flu shot? Have you had it before or is this the 1st time? If you've had the flu shot, did you get sick from it?

I've never had it. However, I get my fair share of having the flu every year. I'm just chicken sh*t when it comes to the shot because I've heard so many people say that it caused them to get very, very sick. My cousin was one of them. 🙁
 
Well i have taken the flu shot and it is the actual virus. I have gotten sick, but as bad if I have not had the shot and the worse is the soreness on the arm where the shot is put. I have gotten sick either way. It is a pain in the ass to decide. I actually wish I would have gotten it, I dont think I would have gotten as sick as I did. It is hard to decide wheter to go for it or not because like you said some people get really sick. decisions why are they so difficult .
 
I GOT THE SHOT! (in the a$$) AND MY BABIES DID TOO, WE ALL HANDLED IT WELL AND DIDN'T GET SICK FROM IT AT ALL.

THEN COLD SEASON STARTED AND WE GOT OUR A$$E$ KICKED, WE GOT BAD CHEST COLDS AND WERE DOWN FOR 2 WEEKS!!GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I haven't had the shot but what I heard on the news is that this strain of the flu that's goin around...the shot may not be enough to ward it off. :crap
 
I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN THE FLU SHOT! YEAR AFTER YEAR I DEBATE WHETHER I SHOULD GET IT OR NOT 😱 I DUNNO ABOUT THIS YEAR :yoplease
 
I've been getting mine for over 3 yrs now and the first yr I got real sick but after that I've been fine

I'd never get the flu shot nor would I let my kidz eva get it......... to me it's all a scare tactic meant to sell the flu vaccine which is BIG BIG BIG BIG business....... I know only 1 person who got the flu vaccine & their face broke out & they got really sick........
 
me and my son just got ours.I was scurred to get it but this year is going to be bad so we got one before they ran out....The virus is dead and you cant get sick from the actual shot but you can catch the flu but it may not be as bad if you have the shot it will be less severe..if your kids have asthma or weak imuune sytems i would get it
 
Hmmmmmm.........my 4 yr old has a doctors appointment tomorrow and I wonder if I should let the doctor give him a flu shot or not. It has me scared thinking about it since everyone reacts differently.
 
I've gotten one for the last five years. Four of those years, I had no choice cause I was working as a paramedic and we to get it for precautionary reasons. Then this year was also mandatory for me cause I work at one hospital and volunteer in another.

Since it's the actual virus, I got a little sick the first year, and since then the only thing is a little nausea. Well that and the soreness in the arm where they gave the shot.
 
Well the flu has finally hit the Bay area.. three people have already died due to complications. Now I have only taken a flu shot once in my life, which was last year, and it screwed me up bigtime, but now everyone seems to be scrambling for the shot, and now you need a doctors referral to get it!
 
That getting screwed up after getting the shot is what makes me afraid to even get it once. I did hear that several people have died already from this flu but I think it was high risk people. It's sad. 🙁 And confusing.
