What was the first FREESTYLE CD you baught.Like many of you I had cassettes & vinyl, but when CD came out, I was very young and had no money til high school, although I baught this CD, I knew I was gonna get a CD player sooner or later. But, it was a must have single for me.....
LISETTE MELENDEZ-"TOGETHER FOREVER" 1990.
After I baught her single, I went out and started becoming a true FREESTYLE fan and baught CD's from all kinds of FREESTYLE artists, in the 90's, alot of FREESTYLE artists released maxi's & full-lengths, it was truelly the last great era of collecting maxis & 100% true FREESTYLE cd's.

Mine was George LaMond Safire and India ... when CD's use to come in those long sleeve carboard boxes... remember that?

I use to order alot from Columbia House back in the day. They use to have alot of freestyle. Sweet Sensation, Stevie B and so on...

Now that I think about it....it could've been Lisette Melendez.....the full length album......my freshman year in high school...1991.
When I baught LISETTE's single,I went out and baught her full-length soon after,I sure played out her cd's, their some of the best out there.CARLITO I guess we are from the same era, I was in HIGH SCHOOL at the same time too, I was a sophmore.

Well the first freestyle cd I got was actually a gift from my mom lol "Funky Melody" by Stevie B
The first cd I bought was "The Best of Stevie B"

Cuz before I got cds my cousins used to make me freestyle mix cds 🙂

My First CD was Real Life "Send Me An Angel", two days later I got Dead or Alive "Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know" and Linear "Linear".

So Linear was my first Freestyle CD. 🙂

Was in 1993 and I don't had a CD-Player on that time! 🙂

Freddy

Funny Linear was my first freestyle tape that I bought 🙂

I remember seeing the "Shana" CD in the mall in 1989, but I didnt have a CD player... So I bought it on cassette...... I still have it. I didnt get the CD untill 1993. I also bought the nasty boys cassette, then got the CD later on... which is still sealed.

TKA - SCARS OF LOVE CD bought 1987 when I still had no CD player, but it was a must have.

My fist cd was Tazmania vol 1 and like most of you I did not have a cd player yet. Just goes to show you what freestyle fans will do for the love of our music.

Peace

Mine was Safire's debut album - as a matter of fact, I have her album in 3 forms.... CD, TAPE AND VINYL!

Other than the albums and cassettes, my first Freestyle CD was Safire's and Brenda K. Starr's debuts.

Yeah....I first heard "Together Forever" in the Spring (April) of 1991 when I was still living in Italy. It wasn't until I came back to NYC that same month where that shit was everywhere! And at the same time they were playing "Gypsy Woman", "Just Wanna Hold You Tight", "Another Sleepless Night", "Love Desire"....1991 was the shit!

"A Day In My Life Without You" was def. Freshman year (Sept. 1991).
