No digity doubt! But I never said black woman only in my post 😉 Read it again. But the ones that Ive seen really long...rolled up nails longer than 5 inches in length have been black women. Because Ive talked to a few of them about it I can recall. 😛 Hey but I am basing my opinion because of those experiences 🙂

Dont mean to make my post sound stereotypical heheh i aint that stupid 😉
 
Gabbi the same thing happend to me it gets costly and when you finally take them off yuor nails are uneven from all teh filing down and it takes forever to have them back to normal I am just now getting them back to there natural bumpless shape lol 🙂
 
Well acrylic will actually damage your natural nail. Even f u keep your acrylic a decent length and get them done as they should be. The constant acrylic over the nail weakens the nail and will make them thin and very hard to grow. I used to have acrylics and it took about a year to have my natural nails grow. I was recommended nailtique nail hardner..It really worked for me..Also check with your Dr, certain vitamins help nails grow it you have problems with growing natural nails.

you have to know how 2 take care of them going to the nail place every 2 weeks.. and changing the acrylic I believe it's every 2 months (not sure) but if you see your nails turning a different color you know you are doing something wrong..
I agree you should not have them super long but there is nothing wrong with acrylic on nail when you can't get your nails to grow on their own

And if none of that helps old school mamas like mine and my friends would tell us to by a clear polish and put garlic in it lol. Some beauty supplys actually carry a polish that is made with garlic since garlic is suppose to help nails grow 🙂
 
I get my nails done every 2 weeks as well..I agree with Angie they should definetely be kept at a nice length not all long like some damn Freddie Krueger..lol...i also agree with Crazygirl, just take care of them every 2 weeks and change the acryllic when needed and there should be no funk nasty under you nails..lol
 
eewwwww @ claws.....I never bothered with acryllic....my nails grow naturally long but as soon as they are long enough and they get in the way of my typing I cut them short.
Manicures ....I get them once in a while and I guess due to alot of Calcium they just grow insanely. But I do wash my hands thoroughly and often which is why I don't get sick often.

If You Have Them Yes You Have To Take Care Of Them. I Have The Acrylic Just Brushed On My Real Nails Cause Mine Are So Thin And Weak.

I remember her nails. She went by the name Coco and she was well-known for those very long nails. I wonder if she still has them today. I heard that they weren't fake, that they were actually her REAL nails.
