I saw this chick on the train with extremely long ass nails and I was like dayum those are long as hell and she had these crazy ass designs on them I was like drama. So I wanted to say a womans nails should not look like claws most men I know like a woman with nice nails not claws but they should absolutly not be that long short to medium length not only is it tacky but its unsanitary tons of bacteria is collected under a persons fingernails daily and most woman get the acrylic and get them wrapped and touched up so your basically houseing nasty ass germs in ya nails not everyone washes there hands correctly whihc keeps all that nastiness collected under the nails so please no claws ladies the same for the toes ok 🙂
 
Gurl you sure do have a point. I totally agree with you. Recently I tried getting the acrylic (is that how its spelled? lol) nails again like 2 weeks ago, and like within a week I took them off. I knew I wasn't going to keep them on for long. It does get dirty (and God knows what kind of bacteria are in between the real nails and the fake nails. Can't do those anymore. Don't want fungus nails lol.
 
You go girl just get a reg french manicure on your own nails and they will grow on there own no need for all the fake stuff and we sho dotn want no fungus growing out our fingers lol 🙂
 
Yeah, under those pretty, fake nails,there is a funky a** yellow, rotting, nasty fungified, old mans toe looking, crusty, little brittle chip of a real nail. It's just a pretty nasty thing when they are longer than they should be. oooh, I just grossed my self out, I think I will go scrub my fingernails.

Yep and the wrap helps the fingernails to not break easily....now I want to get my regular manicure done lol.
 
You know who like long nails like that? Black women. 🙂 Ive seen this lady with long nails...I swear the first thing that comes to mind is how the hell do you wipe your ass? 😛

Its crazy..they also ugly..yellow underneath eww but I guess to each their own lol
 
The Germs That Stick Out Most In My Head,are Terd Germs,cause You Know Them Claws Ocassionly Tear Through The Toilet Paper. I Seen Alot Of Women With Little Hoops,and Earrings Hanging Of Their Nails Also!!!!!
 
Italo ill lol Tangita Latinas stay doing that shit and then getting the PR flag on them and all them crazy designs of all colors I can see one nail with a lil design pero cono not something that looks like the map of he US. If you dont want to sepnd the lot they sell affordable French manicure sets nd you cn do them yourself 🙂
 
ok to defend the females that do have acrylic on their nails.( cuz I'm one of them.. )
you have to know how 2 take care of them going to the nail place every 2 weeks.. and changing the acrylic I believe it's every 2 months (not sure) but if you see your nails turning a different color you know you are doing something wrong..
I agree you should not have them super long but there is nothing wrong with acrylic on nail when you can't get your nails to grow on their own
 
plus they will help your real nails grow,and protect them as they grow...........at least thats what i think!!! am i right?????

they do help your nails grow when you can't get them to grow.. it's not the best cuz with out it your nail is very weak..
but with it you have less of a chance of breakin

cutting the cuticles,also enables the nails to grow.did you ever notice,that when you swin in a pool for a couple days,your nails are longer???? its true!!!

Well my nails are long...I get them done every two weeks...I have the acrylic wrap because bassically that is the only way they will grow...I am a nail biter so keeping them wrapped prevents me from biting them...

Dont' get me wrong, you can say what you want but, really you cannot just say that only Black women like those long nails. It could be anyone of any nationality who would like those nails. The extremely long nails are not limited to only one race. Trust me I've seen those nails on women from different backgrounds, not just Black women.
 
I have nothing against acrylic nails I use t get them done till I realiezed that yes they made my nails grow but they really werent my nails cause the minute the acrylic came off my nails were to weak and would break anyway there reason why they become so weak is because the acrylic suffocates your natural nail. I have found that in keeping my nails polished they grow on there own and stay strong. With a small ass child I dont have the time to maintain acrylic lol so I go with the short oh natural. I got to keep them short cause I have accidentally scratched Tavi 🙂
 
I used to have pretty good nails, but then after having acrylics for a year my nails were never the same. That was ten years ago. I just keep them filed and polished all the time now, and it seems to keep them in shape. I change my polish every 5 or 6 days, or at least once a week. Nail cream also helps, Christian Dior makes "Creme abricot" which is the best. They sell it in Lord and Taylor, and in Saks fifth ave.
