I just got a call from my best friend who's a Manager in a Theater that I have people training at before My theater opens next month....

let me tell u how she calls me and tells me how she feels violated, cuz she closed out 2 registers, and come to find out - after she counted the new banks...and given them to new concessionists..that those 2 registers were short (1- $15) and (2-$10).....they even have it on video- the moment she told me his nick name - I knew exactly who he was...and I know where he lives.....I told her to terminate him immediatly, write him up- we have proof on video that he took the $$ and she needed another MGR's witness siggy... I told her fax it to me at my office, and take his timesheet and the 2 video tapes on which it was caught- put it to the side and leave it for either my Managing Director or myself when I swing by for viewing....

what a f*uknut! why would u mess with a job right b4 the holidays he's gonna get a big fat DO NOT REHIRE on his paperwork...

Sh*thead....I'm soooo pisedoff right now....
 
Liz ma, Young and immature that does not know the meaning to life. that is so sad to them that they have no morals. :mad You will find somebody ten times better then them.
 
i never understood why people steal from thier jobs

i use to handle a lot of money at this place i worked...and it was so unorganized that a lot of the time they would never even know how much they were suppose to have...so if i wanted to i could have taken money, a lot of money and never gotten caught

however i never did, its not right...its not mine...its biting the hand that feeds you...its just not good karma
 
Some people get desperate, especially around the holidays.

Lemme tell you, the theatre biz has got to be the shaddiest biz around!

When I worked at the UA theatre back in 87, I only took free passes. There were 4 ushers, a candy girl and an assistant manager that were doing things theyre way:

They used to "save" the ticket stubs, untorn of course, and at the end of the night, say they were "refunds". each usher made at least $200 a night! (i might add, minimum wage was $3.35 back then) so that was alot of money. they got caught but the main man never got ratted on.

Years later, my ex was working there as a candy girl. she would not ring up the candy/popcorn/soda and she and her friend would pocket the money. they used to make $500 a day doing this!!!!!!

They never got caught. They finally started giving the candy girls thier own trays so if you were short, you were responsible, but only for a cerain amount (if you were under $15, you were ok, but anything over was grounds for termination)
 
All that for 15-20.00? I don't understand people! :lol

They would go hog wild with the money I handle in that case! :shush
 
Kenny, EXACTLY I've seen it with ushers and cahsiers.....but we get 4 passes weekly - yet they have every right to revoke those priviledges.

even though the place is being monitored and we have security on weekends- they still find a way-

I'm too damn honest for my own good- They even think I'm managment cuz I know too much and have alot of say right since the theater's not opened till Dec.12
 
not for nothin but stealin from work's wrong. i used to handle tons of moeny. would never touch it. it's not mine and the punishment can be severe. it's not worth it. come on it's not that easy to get away clean,w/video cams all over.
 
Mama you know that you're going to get the "bad" just as you do the "good". So this one was the rotten one out of the bunch and he's out now. You did your job! That's all that matters! 🙂
 
not for nothing but the real crimnials are the people who come up with the prices for the snacks!! now thats a crime i got three hot dogs a large coke and reesess the other day $19.50!!

All of the money relly comes from concession, not the box office.

I hope u make a trip to see me when my theater opens it's coming along beautifully.

well I already told my friend to write him up and fax it to me so I'll get it in the morning when I walk in the office- and to make sure it's on the manager's board that he is to be sent home and cannot work until he speaks to my BOSS-- FIRED U MOTHER F'ER

update:

he showed up for work this morning...and they sent him home- told him to call us....so after he spoke to the boss and the boss explaining that it was caught on video- and we could press charges....we had to let him go.

then he calls back and says that he did it cuz he had to get the baby diapers.(assuming he was pleading to keep his job)....well u know what? I needed gas this morning- that doesn't mean i took it from the registers...
