Oh lord, this is funny. In the last few weeks on the BB i read that many people prefer to purchase Old school versus new school because when they buy new school there will be 2 good songs and the rest of the cd is garbage. Well, I sure the hell am not going to argue that because it is true. However I suspected many of the old school fans only by greatest hits comps. There are plenty of old school junk tracks just as there are new school, the old junk is just no longer available.
I can't believe that no one listed
Metropolitan's Freestyle Extravaganza (The original)
It's truly one of the best our there. Even with the limitation that it only contains songs from 1 label, it set the tone for what a professional megamix compilation is. As far as megamixes go, it's hard to touch the "bit's & pieces" white label's that were out back in the day. Anyone know who made any of those?
Oh and Bad Boy Joe. He's single handidly bringing this genre back. Keep it up Joe, we'll ride your wave as long as it last.
