well i can say i dont see my cousins, aunts or uncles N E MORE. SINCE I AM THE YOUNGEST 1ST COUSIN AND EVRYONE IS MUCH OLDER, THE FAMILY DOESNT GET TOGETHER ANY MORE.
NOW WITH MY PARENTS, BROTHER AND SISTER WE FIGHT OCCASIONALY BUT NO DELIBERATE BACK STABBING.
 
it's more like we say hurtful things but we always make up. i for one am the type of person who says something, let the person know how i feel then i move on. so i can make peace fast.
 
I agree familly can be the worst enemy. With alot of things. I see in in my mom side of the family with in the sisters and I see it with my own soppose father. It pisses me off so much I prefer to stay of the topic and move on, but yes sometimes you need to put people in place no matter what and who it is.
 
the only family we have are the people in our house, my parents & my sis....... my kids will never know their 2,578 other cousins & assorted relatives cause it's easier that way than dealing wit all the b.s.......

And That Is Why I Stay The Hell Away From My Fam. I Call Mami And Try To Help My Brothers And Sister The Best I Can. Thats The Limit, I Hate The Gossip And The Stupity That Revolves Around Them. And Since I'm So Outspoken They All Dislike Me. My Real Family Consist Of My Babies And My Mom, Everyone Else Can Go Straight To Hell.
One Thing I Have Come To Realize That The More You Try To Help The More Advantage They Take Of You And Then Talk Shiat About You. My New Year Resolution Is Fuken All.

Isnt there a saying..."you can pick your friends but you cant pick your relatives?' I only talk to a select few of my family anymore. I come from a big extended family on my fathers side, but during the last five years they have all showed their true colors and I dont bother with them anymore.At first I was sad at not seeing them, and hurt, now I dont miss them at all, cause they are all phony!! My best friends family(we have been friends since we were 5) is more like my family. They treat my daughter like she is there grandaughter, I even named my best friend my daughters legal guardian God forbid anything ever happends to me. I have friends who I treasure and are always there for me, who I love more than I will ever care for my family. Sometimes when you are family, you only share a name.
 
wow, i'm surprised at how many people have family issues. my family is screwed up too. you got siblings who don't talk to other siblings and the typical bullsh*t gossip and jealousy. i just wanna know...how can you be jealous of your own flesh and blood?

Drama....

There was a period in time where my brother and I didn't speak to each other for about a year.

He was the kind of guy who would bring his girl, and I'd get to know them, and they would break up, and I'd never see them again.

Well, he started dating Cor. So I got to meet Cor, and her family and all her friends. Her friends became my friends, and we got tight.

Mike and Cor broke up, and I guess he expected that things would go as usual.

Well, I decided that I liked the friends I got through Cor, so I maintained a friendship with her, and still invited her to the house, went to her place on holidays, and went to her wedding to her husband, also named Mike.

This ticked my brother off, and I told him in no uncertain terms that I was not going to turn my back on my friends because it made him uncomfortable.

This did not sit well with him, and we became distant, and ended up not speaking.

Mike is now engaged to a sweet girl, and enough time has passed where we are civil with each other again.
 
MY MOM'S PARENT'S DISOWNED US (MOM,DAD,ETC) BECAUSE I GOT PREGNANT AT 14! IM 23 NOW AND HAVE NOT TALKED TO MY GRANDPARENTS- I WAS CALLED EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK! :hohsit
 
yeah I have a cousin who likes to play Devil's Advocate, and very soon she's gonna find my 7 1/2 down her throat. according to her you can't be an artist and a good mother all at the same time..LOLOLoh and a single parent will never make it in life!..lolol que pendeja.

I can see that this thread is more active than what I thought it would be. Maybe because I thought I was the only one and now I see that quite a few you have thought the same way. Wow! It's sad. It's ashame that families are like that.
 
well i dont have it bad cause my family stays away. havent seen cousins in years. i have 2nd cousins my age and the sad thing is i dont even know them. i was pissed about it some time ago and all my mom said "well they knew who you were" so she said it goes both ways. sometimes my dad can be fresh, but we dont take any crap in my family and we make up. i used to have it out with my sister alot but her husband seems to cool her down.

You know what's really worse? cunty ass- stupid -ignorant-immature-cement for brains-asswipe-people that think they have the right to speak to you about how you think and about your actions, and then think that thier word is right.
