I believe it could be infatuation. I guess we all want to hear those sweet words every now and then.

Krys, that's sounds like a relationship I was once in. I was with him for over a year and have a child with him. And I soon found out everything about him was a lie. Including his job and whereabouts, etc. So I guess you must be careful no matter where you meet the person. 😉
 
ohh dam Krys..Im sorry, but why hold back on us, that is something to show to all in here, so they can be wise and learn from other experiences and like Enigma says most is lies...we be like wow..me likes but turn out to be an a$$..that is was so horrible..im sowwy to read that....😡

I have picked up alot on the internet and it may be fun at times but it can also hurt!!!! I dont trust anyone....I have had my issues too:crap, not to the extreme, but have had lies, from wives calling me to starkers...thank GOD, I'm safe, please be careful!!!!😕

I don't think you can actually fall in love with someone you haven't met you can just think you have. It's more like your in love with the concept of being in love maybe, but to fall in love with someone without knowing them in person is just living in a fantasy world because you never really know someone till you are with them.
 
Wel I guess it all makes sense. Infatuation can sometimes appear to be love. Time often reveals the truth. It was interesting to hear everyone's opinion though. Thanks a bunch! 😉

Wouldn't say I fell in love, but feelings developed online and then when we met it intensified and things were going well, or at least I thought, till all of a sudden, he screwed me over and couldn't even tell me. I had to find out through one of my friends telling me to check the guys profile. But anyway.

I mean yeah you can develop feelings, and strong ones, via the internet, but as for love, if it does happen, it would be cause you met and hung out a few times. I mean I know some people on here know the situation I was in recently and then I had a change of heart so to speak, cause I got to see the other side of the person, and granted, I still want his friendship and value that, but as for wanting to be with that person, it's not happening. But on the other hand, the guy that calls me his dreamgirl, I first started talking to online, and now not only is he a really good friend, but things might happen for us relationship wise. Which is good.

Ok, I'm rambling. Anyway, you just got to be careful when it comes to online. Krys, I hear what you're saying and I'm sorry that happened to you. I was lied to online as well and it sucked cause I thought the person was someone I'd want to maybe be with and then like I said, he screwed me over and basically lied to me. So I'm not saying it can happen, not saying it can't, but sometimes, the way someone is online is not always the way they are offline.

Some sad shyt when someone can't tell the truth and play with other people's feelings! I've been there in real life as I'm sure everyone has at least one point in their life 🙁 It SuxXxs beyond belief and I just went through something samiliar not to long ago -But I'm over that and I moved On
