I can understand the anger here. Having your trust betrayed is a horrible thing.
But you need to look at the flipside of that. I'm the perfect example.
I have complete trust in my circle of friends. They were there for me 7 years ago when I first came out.....and are there for me now.
If I didn't take the chance to trust a bunch of strangers I'd never met before, I would have never gone to my first cf gathering, and not met a ton of great people.
If I didn't take the chance to trust someone I had only spoken to via email, I would never have met Scott, and he is now my "best" friend, and we lean on each other daily.
Yeah, you have to be cautious, but if you shut yourself off from the new experiences, you will lose out on soooo much.
Well, I love you both. But your both not my type. :shakinbooChuckD said:Ohhhh wowwww!!!

Sounds like a very sad and lonely person. Probably jeolous of you. I had a friend like that but after I realized that he was a toxic person to be around. I had to quit being his friend. He's a major drama queen and had very low self-esteem. Hopefully, he's doing better and has changed his life around.Brklyn345 said:You know...over the years, many people have held the title of "my best friend". The reasons that I don't have the same friends now as I did, say ten years ago, or even 5 years ago are varied, from moving away, drifting apart, dick or p***y whippd to the point where they forget their friends, and my FAVORITE: the backstabber. The backstabber, often classified as backstabbus miserablus usually hates to see you happy because THEY are not happy until EVERYONE around them is JUST AS MISERABLE as they are(that's why we get the term Misery Loves Company). Now I had this friend who I met when we both were at miserable times in our lives...I found it strange that whenever anything good happened to me he was always quick to say something negative, like it was too good to be true(it usually was, but that's besides the point). It turns out that he wanted me for himself, but didn't have the cojones to tell me, so he chose to air my dirty laundry to this guy he hooked me up with(btw we're still together almost three years later). He really shot himself in the foot by doing that, because in his lame attempt to make me look bad, he spoke a f***ing encyclopaedia about himself, and how trust worthy he really was. And the worst part is, it took for him to do that in order for him to find out that I was loyal to him the night before, when this guy he was seeing tried to pump me for info about my friend, and I kept my mouth shut. Shortly afterward, he lost his apartment, the relationship he was in fell apart, and now he has all kinds of people wanting to kick his ass.
