It all started out with Poltergeist! Don't feel bad Heavenly, I have clownophobia too. To make things worst, my dad used to paint these plaques and would always paint me clowns. Painted ballerinas for my older sister and I didn't have the hear to tell him I was afraid of clowns. I love those little old plaques cause my dad died in 99 and they remind me of him. BUT I STILL HATE CLOWNS! But don't worry Heavenly maybe he was a prostitute or something. Can't be too much money in being a circus clown.

Girl I had a Raggy Ann and Andy on my wall.... and I will not even go HOW EVIL those things were.... every night my mom would find it somewhere else instead of the wall ... and lets just say I DIDN'T MOVE IT!

Apparently, its VERY common (more so than Arachnaphobia & others like that). When I went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, a girl in front of our party started hyperventilating when she saw a demented clown section in one of the haunted houses. She had to be escorted out. I felt so bad for her!
